Alpha Posted August 3, 2007 Share Posted August 3, 2007 One thing that bothers me about my computer is that even when I turn it off, power still goes to all the devices connected via USB or anything else for that matter. Therefore, the mouse light is still on, and some other accessories too. Is this just the way my power supply works? Is there anyway to make it so that when the computer is off, everything connected to it gets no more electricity sent to it? P.S. Not sure if the title is "technically" correct. Ah that explains it, If you plug the mouse into a usb port, that should solve that problem.If have no spare ports then you need to get a usb card or hub. ken_cinder Posted August 4, 2007 Share Posted August 4, 2007 Check your bios settings. There are options in newer PC's for USB powering methods, which hold an AUX 5v line open to USB devices. Disable it, and your issue should go away. If they are disabled, there is something wrong with your motherboard (Or the bios, check for an update).
