Agozer Posted May 12, 2006 Posted May 12, 2006 Personally, I think the Genesis game is better.Certainly so.
Wizard Posted May 12, 2006 Posted May 12, 2006 I can't get into the GEN version of Shadowrun, I don't know why. I mucho prefer the SNES version. But I do applaud the GEN verison for being less linear.
Lucandrake Posted May 13, 2006 Posted May 13, 2006 K'dash can you tell me how to get magic . I already took out the bomb in my head by paying that stupid doc 2k >.<!! But I still have not a single spell, just empty blue and green tubes .
Lucandrake Posted May 13, 2006 Posted May 13, 2006 (edited) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shadowrun_%28Mega_CD%29 ok.... WTF is this!? Also, is the money in the game purpesly pronounced and spelled to soundlike New Yen? Edited May 13, 2006 by Drake
Elazul Yagami Posted May 23, 2006 Posted May 23, 2006 Wine. the windows emulator for linux. will probably be able to emulate vista or something in the future. considering vista drains alot of power just for the gui and such, linux should be able to handle it.
ken_cinder Posted May 23, 2006 Posted May 23, 2006 You smoke the rock, WINE doesn't do Windows 95 well...Vista. ROOFLES.
Elazul Yagami Posted May 24, 2006 Posted May 24, 2006 i find it very hard to believe that someone won't find a way to emulate the basic processes needed to run a vista specific program, without all the bells and whistles. and dude, i've been using wine to play xp only games, and it works pretty well.
Lucandrake Posted May 24, 2006 Posted May 24, 2006 Another question would be, the servers running this "vista" only games, would they have window checks as well?
ken_cinder Posted May 24, 2006 Posted May 24, 2006 That would be WineX....and yeah, it runs some stuff ok. Very little in the grand scheme though. With regards to "emulating" Windows (If you wish to call an API layer emulation) it doesn't do a very good job there. What you're getting with WineX, is API call interception and recompiling, nothing more. Vista won't be any better off, infact it'll be worse off with regards to games. The next incarnation of Windows (Yes,, I'm already reading about Microsofts plans post Vista) will not be Windows as you know it......but rather UNIX with a proprietary GUI. Anyway, enough babble. I was just stating that emulating "Windows" isn't what you're getting, and Vista is enough of a stretch. You thought you had problems running your slightly older games in XP? Just you wait.....
Shibathedog Posted May 24, 2006 Posted May 24, 2006 ill just get it for 360, its not worth getting Vista for
