nxg Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 HELP! I cant figure out how to use the DS2KEY. Can someone help me out? -EricPS: this is my first post<{POST_SNAPBACK}> No problem, just post some infos on what and how you did try to connect. What IP adresses you use, wether you use special features (like wep, wepdoesn't work at the moment). Have you started the sever app on your pc?Did you change the port? If you did did you change it on both sides (ds and pc)?
Kayouu Posted March 29, 2006 Posted March 29, 2006 dont think it worked for me when i changed the IP of the DS lemme check agian...
wAizz Posted March 30, 2006 Posted March 30, 2006 Hmm, it doesn't seem to work for me. it just keeps displaying "searching". My DS seems to be connected to my pc though, because its mac address is associated. I even double (well actually more then twice) checked port, ip etc. Some additional info: - I use GBAMP - I do not use a WEP key - Other programs like the wifi test prog from stgair and WIN2DS work fine. So any idea what is going (or what I am doing) wrong?<{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'm having the same problem on a SC SD, even though 0.3 works perfectly.
Eric987 Posted April 2, 2006 Posted April 2, 2006 Hi this is Eric again. I have recently purchased a flash card and it will arrive within 2 weeks. After it arrives i will probably be back here posting about needing help with the key. Peace out

sypherce Posted April 12, 2006 Author Posted April 12, 2006 can anyone connect with ds2key to an AP that isnt broadcasting the SSID? Cuz I sure cant unless I turn it on<{POST_SNAPBACK}> This is a known problem with DS2Key 0.4, it will be fixed in the next release, although I have no idea when this will come out, I'm hard at work at it, but I'm not sure when I can make a release.
Bleepblip Posted May 16, 2006 Posted May 16, 2006 How do I save my connection settings with DS2Key? I'm using a SuperCard SD. It's a great program, but manually typing in all that info every time is kind of tedious.

Just put this file in the samedirectory where the binary is.

I should have already mentioned, but I tried this with a 64kb.sav file and it's still not loading my settings on startup. The files are named DS2Key.sc.nds and DS2Key.sc.sav Edited May 17, 2006 by Bleepblip

The files are named DS2Key.sc.nds and DS2Key.sc.sav<{POST_SNAPBACK}> Make sure that both files are in the same folder, if their named as youmentioned there shouldn't be a problem (it's case sensitive btw.).You to turn off and on the ds quickly after setting up and saving theWiFi data, the save should be still in the sram of the sc now. Go to the tab named "SAVER" select the DS2Key.sc.sav, Press A and then again forsaving the sram into the file. Now as long the.sav file is in the samedirectory and is named right the sc loads the data into the sram automatically.I'm not sure if that still works for the latest release, I just rememberedthat it writes the save into the FAT system (which works only for CF mediaright know due to the used version of the CF driver).the 0.3 does for sure, so may be you should use that version.
Vegetable Posted May 31, 2006 Posted May 31, 2006 Program is great, when it works. Everything has to be in absolutely optimal condition for it to even send a signal to the computer through DS2Key, and even then it often doesn't work. I'm waiting for the next iteration when this is fixed. I don't recall any of this crap happening with the non-GUI version.
Smashed_187 Posted June 13, 2006 Posted June 13, 2006 Is this dead? If so, are there any objections to me recompiling this with the newest wifi lib so we can all use WEP, DHCP etc?
