DS2Key 0.4 Plans

I would have used GMail for storing my files, but theres no autoupdate feature, and I can't really store the whole thing in the folder, as it doesn't cache it.

 

But I got a cheap service yesterday that basically does what I want, for $10 a year for 1GB. So it should update what needs updated every 15 minutes, and I'm trying to make a copy every once in a while in there so I have backups from earlier dates as well.

 

Only reason I got this is because I'm really just too lazy for backing up stuff manually, I know I would never do it enough, now I know I'm covered.

I'm a coder as well, so here's a tip: Gmail offers a 2 gig drive. I always save my work there, it also helps because when I'm not at home, I can still access my code.

That's already in the upcoming features list.

Just a heads up, 0.4 will now only be a update to the ds side, no feature enhancements other then a new gui, a complete remake of the ds side actually.

 

0.41 will be a release of the new PC/Server side GUI. Again, just a remake and source code release, then 0.42+ will be feature enhancements.

 

Source will have to be released this time, so this time I won't lose it

DS2Key 0.4 is almost ready to be released, not sure how long this will take but it shouldn't be long. The following is what needs to be touched up.

 

1. Disable menu and buttons when in input-mode.

2. Add Disconnect Button

3. Add Icons to Menus

4. Enable Tools, and re-implement Wardriving

5. Adjust some of the graphics

No, not in this version, I'll try to do is when I have the time, I think I'm just gonna add in the old text version on this one, not even bother with a window for it. The text and such will look more like the current ds2key though.

This is pretty nice, but what I'd really LOVE is if you 'fused' wardriving and selecting an access point to connect to.

 

The reason I'm saying this is because when wardriving, it shows access points and their connection rate, meanwhile, when you select Connect to AP, you only see the names, and not the connection rate.

 

The problem occurs when several APs are named the same thing (such as in my campus, as I explained in another thread, in gbadev.org forums), so I'd really LOVE to see which one I am connecting to

The new design looks nice, except for the background. Why did you choose a background with such a high contrast between the colors? It makes is hard to read the read the text. So I would say a less interfering image. But thats all. I like the buttons .

i think it would be great if you can change the button-profile witch the ds-part of the programm. switching between profiles witchout doing something on the pc
