To MameOx 0.97

Hi everyone

 

Here is the ruby project sources announced few months ago.

 

It was, in fact, a try to update to mame 0.97 core.

GogoAckman and me haven't got time to continue this project (already very advanced), this is why I release it if someone ever feel able to end it

 

Here what is done :

 

- All drivers are added (but not numbered)

- VCCPMame.h is up to date

- all vcproj are up to date

 

So, nearly all drivers are implemented, you only have to number them.

 

MameOx & MameOxLauncher core is very very preliminary, most of all the work is here...

 

Sources are compiling with few warnings, emulator runs but roms no.

 

Well, I leave it in this "state" for now

 

Hope that someone will finish this today, it will make easier and regular Mame updating from the PC version.

holy crap BritneysPAIRS... you should release already a wip build instead of showing me each time those unbelievable skins

we enter a wierd time, hk$ build looks like it may have some great new games, bender may have new.97 build and I may have drivers for midway rolled back would be way better to merge all the findings but this isnt really happening, I have customised a skin to my new front end I did and it wont work on benders or HK$ although if asked id port it pretty quick to theres no worries. I really like my new front end alot better than standard front end and find it much easier to sort roms and pick the rom I like.

HK$ does mameox128

 

BritneysPAIRS does mamedox

 

if i recall, i believe mamedox was also with bendermike but can't remember so i'll let BritneysPAIRS or him answer that

Just an opinion, but I think dumbing down the ROM names like that is a terrible idea. How are you supposed to tell which version of a game is which?

MAMEdOX was stolen Bendermikes source with improvements and a few of them by HK$ himself

 

PS you can have full names or shortened names no problems at all

yes theres a original mameox done by team mameox which haven't done anything lately, project then went to xport who added the virtual memory and updating it to v84 but that was it for official releases.

 

i can't agree with bendermike "stolen source" since i can recall he was giving it freely with the xbe in torrents.

I know him he was cool with it. He released the sources no issues as I will give him everything so far if he wants it no worries.

But its was mame b6 (a few others) --- mameox --- mameox(export version) ---bendrmike mameox --- mamedox --- $hk build was half mamedox and mameox export by looks

no way jose... its the greatest idea ever... WE WANT the short names !!!

 

why the hell on earth would it cause problems... there's still crc, not?

 

 

well its too late for a xmas release... but maybe a new year's edition would be really nice
