The simple solution: use a black&white printer.

Colour printers are really not needed very much in a work environment.

At my office we have 15 b&w printers and only 1 colour one.

as a matter of fact, color ink costs less than black ink

usually a cart of hewlett-packard black ink around here costs around $60 when the color ink costs around $55
