Mobadass Posted September 30, 2005 Posted September 30, 2005 I was just wondering if I need to buy a gba flash cart to use the Wifi support once it's out? If I do, could someone recommend me a cheap one? Thanks in Advance.
Alpha Posted September 30, 2005 Posted September 30, 2005 Please don't type like you have some mental dysfunction. I have revised your post to make it more legible. Next time will be a warn on your account.
JaJa Posted September 30, 2005 Posted September 30, 2005 Ok. What sgstair is creating is the driver library for wifi on DS. This will then allow homebrew devr's to use wifi in their apps/games. So, yes you will need a flash cart or GBAMP to use the wifi enabled apps, like you use apps at the moment.
sgstair Posted October 1, 2005 Posted October 1, 2005 Correct. The wifi library will just be an addon for homebrew applications - some method of running the homebrew is still required. -Stephen

TheChuckster Posted October 1, 2005 Posted October 1, 2005 That's a good point. However, I take Spanish and even during my first year of learning it, I didn't type it that badly. It's either you care to make your post legible or not.
WhereMyArm Posted October 1, 2005 Posted October 1, 2005 Yeah then again I didn't see the original, I'm just hypothesizing.
mufranxk Posted October 2, 2005 Posted October 2, 2005 SuperCard with SuperPass is it compatibility ?
Thoop Posted October 2, 2005 Posted October 2, 2005 SuperCard with SuperPass is it compatibility ?<{POST_SNAPBACK}>Yes that's compatible for homebrew, but I believe you had to update the firmware of the supercard, but I'm not sure.
mufranxk Posted October 2, 2005 Posted October 2, 2005 The new firmware was compatibility with homebrews.Flash cart is important need. Sorry for my english i'm french.
Thoop Posted October 2, 2005 Posted October 2, 2005 I think you mean a CF card, because that's what you'll need extra when buying a supercard.
Jercos Posted October 6, 2005 Posted October 6, 2005 I think you mean a CF card, because that's what you'll need extra when buying a supercard. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> there are two types of supercard: SD, and CF. i have an sd version but i hear the cf version works better for say.. dslinux? (WTC i don't care about an sram filesystem... all i got it for was to have a portable colossal cave!)
JaJa Posted October 6, 2005 Posted October 6, 2005 The CF one is just as bad for DSlinux.Only the GBAMP works really well with DSlinux.
Jercos Posted October 7, 2005 Posted October 7, 2005 The CF one is just as bad for DSlinux. Only the GBAMP works really well with DSlinux. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> ok thanks i've kinda been looking around for more info on that.(DSlinux works ok with wifime but still no writable FS
codemaster Posted November 29, 2005 Posted November 29, 2005 What GBA Flash Card do you recommend as the best? (and hopefully cheapest ) I am curious, though - will I ever be available to do something to the degree of using my laptop's WiFi card to allow my DS to use its 'Download Play' function into just downloading and playing my game instead of having to load it via a GBA Flash? Also, is there any progress on this sort of thing? (making it so we don't need a GBA Flash cartridge)
