Weirdy Posted January 7, 2005 Posted January 7, 2005 (edited) I guess it'll be the new kazaa only with just a whole bunch of rar files(full of musik) and movies Edited January 7, 2005 by Weirdanzeige
Robert Posted January 7, 2005 Posted January 7, 2005 Here are some screenshots of exeem... http://www.neowin.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=265728 Statement of adware in exeem... http://www.nikush.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=85 I know you guys are really sensitive about links, so if it'sagainst the rules, remove them. (the links)
Agozer Posted January 7, 2005 Posted January 7, 2005 As for the screensohts themselves, it looks very promising (although the shots were small as hell). As for the Cydoor thing, I don't know what to think yet. If it truly works as the creator claims it to work, then I have no problem with it.
someboddy Posted January 7, 2005 Posted January 7, 2005 Actualy, the fact that you wheren't able to search for files like in kazaa is one of the things that made bt so fast. Instand of 200 copies of the same file, there are only 2, so the users don't split between so many copies.
Gryph Posted January 7, 2005 Posted January 7, 2005 I wonder what Bram Cohen thinks of all this...I don't think he'd support an adware filled program such as this.
Inky Posted January 8, 2005 Posted January 8, 2005 isn't exeem supposed to come out this week? I think I read that somewhere. I got the beta but no key
Sybarite Paladin AxL Posted January 8, 2005 Posted January 8, 2005 what I really wanna know is how will torrents be found?will it work like eDonkey? and if there's an option not to install ads, and stuff like that, I really hope eXeem betters and stops using cydoor or ads at all...
Robert Posted January 8, 2005 Posted January 8, 2005 what I really wanna know is how will torrents be found?will it work like eDonkey? How does winmx find files? Same way?
Agozer Posted January 8, 2005 Posted January 8, 2005 (edited) what's winmx? You honestly haven't heard of it? It's a program kind of like the good old Napster, for music only. Still up and running too. Personally, the last time I used it was 2 years ago Edited January 8, 2005 by Agozer
