As usual, the media skews this one out of context. It's not being marketed as a "video game" in the entertainment sense. It's almost more like an experiment, especially with the player's goal being to scientifically re-create the historical events rather than just "kill the former president."

On the one hand, it's a tragic event and so the initial reaction is shock - who in their right mind would want to be in those shoes? Once one gets past the stigma though, it opens the door to a lot of more mature educational possibilties in interactive media, and even to interesting research techniques - having thousands of different users from across the world fill the ambiguous "skill" role in a historical or forensic simulation and watching the results. I'm not entirely sure they picked the right historical event to start this kind of thing with, but we'll see how bad the media treats them.

No, the point is not to KILL Kennedy per se, but rather to prove the stupidity of various 'conspiracy theories' floating around on the net. Still, i think it is in poor taste and must have started as a joke - i mean, imagine the planning session:

Developer 1: Dude, we seriously need another project.

Developer 2: I'm thinking. Hold on while i take another hit from this crack rock.

Developer 2: Dude - the source code - it's moving. The zeros are telling me to kill you.

Developer 1: Eureka! A JFK assassination simulator! Pass ME the crack.

:devilboy::rolleyes:<_<

Anyhow, has anyone actually plated the game? I'm sure its just one of the hundreds of crap programs flushed on to the web every day...

I only played the demo. That picture I posted is from that. I want to find to full version.

Now I just want to play as John Wilks Booth and dispatch of Lincoln. :devilboy:

XIII was an awesome game, and the only reason it didn't sell was that people weren't ready for an animated fps (I was, on the other hand, and it looked and played great!)

It looked great, I never got around to playing it though.

There was a mod for UT that some students turned in and got in trouble for where you where in the world trade trying to escape.

yeah i remeber the ut mod for the twin tower thing.. rather sick i think. I always think they should leave relife events out of videogames. Some war games are fun but atleast your not actully play a real person who died in the war. lol only thing i wonder is does this emulate the magic bullet theory?

anyways rather sick gives gaming a bad name.

The are also rumors that some game company is developing a flight simulator à la 9/11.
