Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull Teaser
Tynvar replied to Wizard's topic in Gossip Café [/offtopic]
AWESOME! I can't wait to see it. I don't care if people say Harrison Ford is too old now. Same with the new Rambo movie. I like Indiana Jones movies. -
High school calls all 2,550 students to detention

No wonder some kids go rampart in US schools. -
Soundtracks from Smallville. Cool music I can listen to while I work

My Sassy Girl Just saw it again on DVD last night. Awesome movie. Too bad they are making an english remake of it. It's probably going to suck.

Wooot this is awesome news. And it's nice to know Bioware is the one working on it. I liked both games but the first one was the best. Great news indeed.

I'm not sure if the price of the product would make a substantial difference. If it did, people wouldn't be pirating movies as well. Most movies nowadays you can buy for less than $20, and the classics can be as cheap as $5. However, people still download the movies and new releases. Hell, people download TV shows, which they basically can watch for free (depending on what kind of television provider he or she has). So I don't think it's about the price of the product at all. The problem is that people are greedy and they spoil themselves. For example, people who decide to download "full rom sets" will never be able to enjoy each and every game to its full potential. Sure, some games may be pure garbage, but even the greater games don't get the appreciation they deserve. Ever remember the years when you'd pay so much for a game and you'd play the game until the very end and make sure you got your money's worth? All those good times? Tell me how many memories you have playing games you downloaded. Probably a lot less. Most people who are "stuck" on a particular game they downloaded would rather download another game than waste their time any further. But people forget that what makes a game great is beating the obstacle, hence the memories. The same goes for music. People download hundreds and thousands of songs, until they're tired of all of them. There's a reason why sex can't truly last all night long. It's so you can keep coming back for more and more. I agree with you on the part that we don't value the games as much anymore. Lately I've decided to pick games from older consoles that interest me, and play them from start to finish. I keep track of the games I finish in a small excel database. Anyways so far I have 10 games on my list but I'm quite proud of the accomplishment. So my advice to everyone is pick a somewhat good oldie game and play it start to finish. Make it a challenge.

Awesome then I'll try it later when I get home.

I like certain mangas. Not all of them though. I did like the suzuka manga. That's one that I read every week.

Nintendo Wii officially HACKED without modchip!
Tynvar replied to Alpha's topic in Hacking and Homebrew News [/hax]
That would be nice. But I see as a problem those games that update your Wii. Like Super Mario Galaxy. -
Super Mario Bros. Deluxe Great game for the Game Boy Color. It adds features over the orginal Nes classic. You can now save at any time. You can also replay any level you have finished which is a nice feature since it includes a picture album that shows enemies defeated and other things according to how you defeat each bowser and how many fireworks you get. You also get a simple map like SMB3 to show your progress in that level.: There are 2 added bonus things. One is Super Mario Bros. 2 Japan, which is awesome and extremely difficult, at least for me, the other is this race against a Boo, which is fun and frustrating at times. The only thing I didn't like was that the screen was too small so you have to push up and down to see the rest of it, but you can say it adds some challenge. It's a great game and I recommend it to remember the old times.

Nintendo Wii officially HACKED without modchip!

At the moment I would not risk my Wii with a chip. So this is great news to me and probably other people. It would be nice to make your own software like DVD, MP3, games, and have them show up as channels. -
Awesome collection Jitway! Your music rooms looks awesome. I'm working on a movie room, sort of like an old movie theater, but it's still a long way to go, right now I'm planning and collecting old stuff. Maybe someday I'll have something worth showing

So does this mean we can load ehem.... other things? -
This is an add, but it does sound interesting. If it's free of course.

I hate it It lacks the emotion of previous games. Characters are stilted, the world is far more shallow, and where previous FFs had a very clear purpose, in 9 it always seemed like uh-oh someone's trying to destroy the world again. The lack of range in terms of damage and difficulty also turned me off. Restricting characters to certain roles in battle is something I never liked and incidentally something 7 and 8 didn't force on you. That part got really frustrating.. That's actually one part I hated about VII. You could make any character into what you wanted to. There's really no challenge like the older ones where you had to balance weakness and strengths.

I still keep at the argument that games that are pirated in those countries would not be bought original anyways. The people that can afford it will buy them. Any gamer likes having their original box with artwork, I know I do. So I'm sick of the RIAA reporting inflated numbers that are not equal to actual sales.

Final Fantasy VIII was great, but I became so bored of the long summons that I would have to level up more to avoid using them.
