  2. retroguru.com reports that Guest PC for the Mac has been updated. Guest PC allows for emulator x86 computers. Below are the bug fixes and enhancements in this release.

     

    - Characters failed to display in some Windows applications

    - Some CPU/FPU emulation errors

    - Wrong printing from some resource demanding applications

    - Some DOS programs failed to run in Windows

    - A performance increase of 10%

    - Video output enhancement

  3. Are you looking for a trainer for the game "Liberty City Stories"? Then you might check this first release of this trainer. For now it already supports a few basic cheats like: Infinite Health and Armor, Set Wanted Level, Set Time, Set Weather & Spawn Anything. Yet it only works with the US/Canada version of LCS and requires a 2.0 and 2.01 firmware.

  4. PDRoms reports that Snaff has updated his port of Frodo, the Commodore 64 emulator, to the GP2x. Below are the changes in this version.

     

    - Added thumbnail screenshots when browsing snapshots

    - New option to reverse controls - use A,B,X,Y as joypad

    - Hardware scaled screen option to see the full borders

    - Fixed volume control

    - Snapshots now named sequentially

    - Fixed crash with unreadable zip files

  6. PDRoms reports that TikiBlap Demo version 0.1 has been released. It's a Breakout-like game that has been rewritten to use Cryptic Allusion's new cross-platform library Tiki (which allows for play on Dreamcast, Mac, Windows, and Linux. However, the Dreamcast version does not have sound, and the Mac version is a universal binary so it requires 10.4. All platforms are single-player only right now. Click here to find out more.
  7. PDRoms reports that MPH Firmware Launcher version 1.3.0 has been released. This allows to launch a firmware (the firmware must be in file format and not in eboot.pbp format, convert by using the psardump02a tool) from the Playstation Portable's memory stick. Below are the changes in this version.

  8. Emu#dreams reports that Michael D. Wynne has updated his ZX80/ZX81 emulator to version 0.42d. Below are the changes in this version.

     

    - Added TS2050 Serial port.

    - Preliminary support for ACE AY circuit (Clock frequency is probably very wrong at the moment though).

    - Preliminary TZX tape format support.

    - Fun feature - emulated RAM Pack wobble.

  9. Audio Overload has been updated to version 2.0b7, reports Emu#dreams, and now boasts support for 26 different audio formats. Below are the changes in this version.

     

    - Added support for gzips nested inside other archives

    - Added support for NSFE files

    - Rewrote the VGM engine to support the latest files, needed for Project 2612

    - Numerous fixes to the S98 engine; sound quality should be much better now

    - NSF and GBS files no longer allow you to go two tracks beyond the end of the file

    - The SNDH engine no longer stops playback at the three minute mark

    - Fixed previous/next song highlighting in KSS driver

    - Blargg sent in FME-07 support for the NSF engine (Gimmick!)

    - Added support for more PC AdLib formats (.ROL,.SCI, and.IMF)

    - Added support for.VTX files (ZX-Spectrum Vortex Tracker)

    - Added support for extended ID666 tags in SPC files, and converted the SPC player to use the Game_Music_Emu engine instead of Snes9x

  10. Emu#dreams reports that Ville Linde has been making progress with 'Operation Thunder Hurricane' and 'GTI Club'. Below is Linde's log.

     

    These games have been rather difficult to get running. Especially GTI Club is quite picky about the Konami LAN controller emulation, and it's still causing some problems. The 3D graphics in these games is handled by a custom Konami chipset, so it may take a good while to emulate those.

Finally, Haze has added support for Tang Tang to the esd16 driver, however, the graphics ROMs containing the backgrounds aren’t dumped. You can read more about that here.
