  1. sidewinder pars are good. i have the one with shoulder buttons, i think the semi-transparent ones are a bit poo though. have you not thought about hooking up a ps pad, or an xbox pad?
  2. i took a few a few weeks ago, and i got 133 both times, a uk and a us test.
  3. yep, they had dc games and xbox memory cards as well, the last time i knew. pity there're no stores in scotland
  4. i saw this if it's any good... http://www.computerorbit.co.uk/acatalog/or...pecials_18.html 128MB GEFORCE FX 5200 SPARKLE (SPECIAL) 128MB GEFORCE FX 5200 (8X AGP) SPARKLE more info Price: £69.00 Including VAT at 17.5%
  5. if you're going to get arrested, you may as well get arrested for stealing some geforce fx cards. and some corsair pc3200 ddr dimms. oh, and some BIG hard drives.
  6. you could spend a wee bit more and get this: Leadtek Winfast Fx5600 AGP X8 MyVIVO 256MB DDR DVI Dual Monitor Out Retail Box Our Price £129.96 £152.71 inc VAT 17 in stock (Usually ships in 24 hrs) QuickFind code: 48445 Mfr part #: A310-TD256VIVO geforce fx, full dx9, video in and out, 256mb, and a dvi if you ever buy an lcd monitor
  7. broadband does that to ya. i've stopped downloading stuff for the moment, only the odd album here and there. 1mbit, and all i use it for is downloading an album or two, and playing games
  8. either of those cards will play any of the current games just fine, assuming you're running a relatively fast machine anyway. (faster than 1ghz) they both have t@l, yeah. the only difference between them is that the fx has full dx9 support, and the gf4 has tv-in, and is a wee bit slower.
  9. yeah man, i know, but i like to have all my stuff handy. there's no point having 80gigs of mp3s if you have to pop in a cd to listen to an album. ideally i'd have all my music, films, and roms on the pc at the same time.
  10. do you plan on using tv-in? will you be wanting to capture video? if not, the geforce fx is what you want. either card is pretty good though.
  11. i just lost my job, so i'm stuck for now, but i could do with 8 of them... anyone want to lend me £800? gaah, having cable internet and no drive space don't combine very well...
  12. well, i have a ti4200 128mb golden sample 650xp. Do you want vivo? it would appear that the 5200 is SLIGHTLY faster, with dx9 support, but no vivo.
  13. music's good like that, yeah. you got their first album too?
  14. i'm looking forward to a good dc emulator too. in the meantime, my dc will do. The way forward is the xbox though, or its successor(s). Sure, there are far more emulators for pc, and pcs are faster, but having thousands of games on your xbox's hard drive is brilliant. Only prob is that it isn't powerful enough for some emus. Xbox 2 will change that hopefully. One thing i'm not sure about though, is the current generation of consoles. dvd9 and crazy GC mini-backwards dvds are gonna pose problems in the future. Now all we need is a faster gp32 or similar, for the emu-maniacs wanting to go mobile - that's the way forward too.
