Just played it yesterday night. And it makes me play until 4am in the morning! Damn, sleepy now at work I like this kind of Castlevania, limited exploration and with end of level boss to boot. Really old school feel and really remind me of old platform style like Gods for PC. I really love it. SO, I can safely say I will support original for this. And the soundtrack is really really superb. And I love the 2.5D style of the game. Feel refreshing. A triple for this.

I haven't check Assassin Creed's gameplay, so what's so tedious about it? Didn't the gameplay support free roaming on foot?

Since its a prequel it should deal with his wars against the barbarians that were talked about in GoW 1 & 2. Persians were never even mentioned in the other games. They weren't the only people Sparta fought either. Well, they didn't really define "barbarians", right? THey can always make a loophole and regard the Persians as barbarians 300 did give me that feeling though with all the exotic looks on the Persians

Some people complain on slowdown when the action get hectic on screen. Is it FFT bad or ignorable?

Not just you, Gryph. I don't have plenty of my childhood taken because my family can't afford it. Taking photos can be expensive. It's a different issue with digital camera sinc eyou can just snap away without worrying whether how much it will cost you to develop it as you can keep it in your comp.
