  1. The version i have is v.2.4.3 (which IIRC is the last "official" version) but i quit searching for any new versions after the chaos caused by the death of the original Kazaa Lite were there were 1,000 new versions of K-Lite and many broken links so i stayed with the last official release. I just want to know since ive been out of the loop for awhile is are there any Klite projects going on right now that improve on the latest version i have and if so which is the best? Thanks
  2. Well i decided (probably for the time being) to choose ABC,and everything's fine and dandy (except for the fact that the app is a total CPU hog even with my P4 @ 1.6 GHZ). One BIG problem is, why do my torrent downloads randomly stop for no reason?
  3. I think BT is great so far (im new to it) but i hate having so many windows open when i DL multiple torrents Isnt there some sort of frontend/DL manager that handle these DL and reduce the number of windows i have open (hell even make BT better? If so, then which is the best one cuz if there one out there it would make my BT experience better. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
  4. Well i DL fresh copies of the aforementioned games and still got the same problem. BTW i have the latest ZSNES WIP as of this time and my sound settings are: sound enabled, stereo sound, 480000 sampling rate, surround sound, and sound buffering. Everything else is unchecked. I tried unchecking sound buffering, no solution. Tried unchecking surround sound,no solution. Tried all the different sampling rates and all the sound filters,no solution. And this was after DL fresh copies of the aforementioned games AND auditing them with NSRT,meaning they were legit. So this means that theres either a problem with the sound emulation (i swear this problem started happening to me after v.1.36, before that i had no such sound problems) or a conflict with my PC. I dont get it, i mean i have adequate PC specs (1.6 ghz P4,640 MB DDR SDRAM, ATI Rage 128 Pro and integrated sound. Okay the last 2 might suck by my vid card runs ZSNES perfectly with the best GFX settings, only choking on graphically intensive parts. My sound card runs ZSNES with full SFX settings perfectly as well, only having the aforementioned echoing problem. Maybe those games arent well known enough so ill give an example that also happens with a well known game: in Tales of Phantasia when i go from the title screen to the sound test instead of the title screen music fading quickly it echoes and slowly dies down when the former is what happens in the actual game) so what could be wrong. So i see EWJ2 is a work-in-progress (hopefully it will be emulated perfectly) and the 3 fighting games mentioned still have glitchy sprite problems even from before v.1.36. Agozer, since you said you were a member of the ZSNES boards, i would appreciate it if you would bring these matters to the ZSNES peeps so maybe they can do something about it cuz even though i said it might be conflict with my PC my guess is definitely leaning towards emu issues cuz like i said, this never happened to me until the WIPs started. Thanks and sorry for the long post *disappears*
  5. I would use hq2x (the best filter out for emus yet. Anyone agree?) but it lags like hell on my 1.6ghz P4 (its my uber-crappy ATI Rage 128 Pro thats holding me back). I wonder though, cuz i can run ZSNES with the best sound and graphics settings and only get lag when intense graphics effects come into play, but when i try to use it VBA it lags like hell.......
  6. There are a couple of bugs that are well, bugging me on ZSNES that i wonder if there's any solution to. Here they are: -Echo sounds stretching out way too long: On certain games that have echoing sounds or instruments (the gongs in the MK games, the LJN logo on the WWF games, the sound is REALLY messed up on WWF Raw altogether) the echoing of these sounds or instuments streches out way longer than its originally supposed to on the actual games (which i have). It takes a few seconds for the echoes to settle down. This never happened to me on 1.36 (the last official release), why is it happening and how can i fix it (note: this problem also occurs on SNES9x ever since i first started using it,but somehow this problem migrated to ZSNES as well.)? BTW im using the latest WIP (05/08) so im always updating my WIP's..... -Earthworm Jim 2: I know this game has been a problem as long as i remember with its missing sounds and freezing. (IIRC its been mentioned here before) What exactly is the conflict betwwen this game and the emu and is there any fixing in the forseeable future? Garbled sprites in Fatal Fury Special,Art Of Fighting 2 & Yu Yu Hakusho Final: In these 3 fighting games the sprites are garbled and look glitched out which is very distracting. Is there anything i can do about it or do i have to wait till its fixed (if possible)? I myself have been lurking on the ZSNES forums every once in a while but havent made an account..... yet so i hope that either someone could help me here or someone who is a member of the ZSNES forums could mention this over there if it hasnt been already. Thanks *disappears*
  7. So is this really the final version of Zinc, meaning no more progress is goona be made on the zn1 and zn2 emulation?
  8. Woah, there was a PC version of KOF Evo?
  9. I myself have been a NRX fan ever since i got into emulation more than 2 years ago, perhaps too long. Since NRX is pretty much dead outside of hacks and since the source code was never released that means excluding the hacks, theres little to no work that can be done on NRX (and there are still some emulation bugs left in NRX ie. Strikers 1945 slowdown, garbled text and missing music in some early Neo games like Ninja Combat & Commando,Mutation Nation,a bug in Fatal Fury 2 after the bonus round that makes the sprites disappear). On the other hand, other Neo Geo (although not entirely Neo-Geo) emus like Kawaks,Nebula,MAME are regularly updated and perhaps have the aforementioned bugs fixed. Im not going to try to make this any more complicated,so what im basically saying is,out of all the Neo-Geo emus out there which one emulates the Neo most accurately? I dont care if its a system hog,as i am making major upgrades to my PC soon anyways which will surely accomadate to said emu. Im looking for the most accurate Neo experience possible and i just want to hear everyone's opiniions as too which is the best Neo-Geo emu cuz im tired of NRX and its specific romset rules (ROMS that are difficult to find too) and its bugs. Its lack of features and netplay kills it for me too So to sum this all up in one sentence, what is the best non-NRX Neo-Geo emu,and if there isnt such an emu is NRX still best? (Sorry if i sound like a newb but im not as i have decent knowledge of Neo-Geo emulation and emulation in general and have posted here many times before.) *disappears*
  10. Hmm, thanks guys for the suggestions. I will try them out? One more question though, have any of you heard of Nestopia? I heard it was a good emu. Whats the verdict on it?
  11. All this time ive been using Romcenter to audit my SNES ROMS but this morning i tried out NSRT for a bit and it seemed DOS-like but ill still try it and see if Agozer is right (LOL at reason #5 )......
  12. U know,SNES has ZSNES & SNES9x,Genesis has Gens & Kega, but what are the NES emu equivalents of those? Ive hopped around many NES emus in the past (the one im currently using is nnesterj but it hasnt been updated in a while... a long while). Im just asking what is the NES emulator that has the best features and emulates the NES the best cuz ive heard a lot of different responses elsewhere and i want to know for sure wich is THE best so thats why i came here . Any help would be appreciated,i hope i can get a quick response if possible. As for me im going to bed..... *disapperas*
  13. Sorry to sound naive, but what's all the flak towards spam (the food) about? What is so bad about it? Someone give me a crash course.....
  14. Man,finding fixes for later NRX games is such a pain......
  15. I got it from a link at the current affairs board, got it with me. So far looks like just a couple of gamelist additions (KOF 2003,Zintrick) i tried KOF 2003 and it didnt work though ....
  16. I do got both 0.8c and the latest EGCG but the S1 fix that i got from Neogamez is 512 KB,meaning if i try it on 0.8c the text and gfx are gonna look garbled (like KOF 2000) which is what happened when i tried it on 0.8c... hmm i wonder why im getting the 3rd round bug, there was a topic about NRX CRC's and fixes at Neogamez but even though my native language is spanish i rarely speak it and much less understand it so i couldnt comprehend much
  17. Yeah i use EGCG cuz it supports 512 KB S1 ROMS uinlike older versions of NRX....
  18. Ive been at Neogamez following up on NRX game fixes and got links to fixes that allow me to play Garou final on NRX, problem is that the game freezes if you reach the 3rd round while facing Terry. Thats the only bug that comes to mind at the moment....
  19. For those of you who havent heard of Emurayden its a hack of the long-dead CVGS which is fully playable and has been updated far from the last version of CVGS. I know the emu is available to d/l on the emurayden site but 1)the site is down) and 2)i tried to register myself on the site cuz thats the only way you can download but something went wrong and my account on the site is inactive and i can only have 1 screenname per email. So does anyone know anywhere else where i can download the latest version of Emurayden (English version)?
  20. Anyone know where i can find a M1 fix for the NRX version of KOF 2003 cuz i notice that a lot of speech is missing.....
  21. Well instead of downloading another ROM i downloaded a pack from neogamez which contained the P1,S1,and M1 necessary to run KOF2003 in NRX so all remnants of the HERO hack have been removed since i changed the P1 & S1. I also noticed that my ROM is numbered in the MAME/Kawaks scheme (271_p1.rom instead of kof2003_p1.rom,is this why theres a special NRX version required, cuz the ROM is encrypted? Is anyone elses KOF2003 ROM like this?)but the M1 that came in the pack is the same one that came with my ROM which means i still have sound problems. I havent followed up on the other problems yet but ill post tomorrow after spending some time with the game. But so far i know that i need a M1 fix....
  22. Oh,i see. So Agozer where did you get your KOF2003 ROM from and if you have a link to it can you provide it? Also a link to the M1 fix would be appreciated. Thanks! *disappears*
  23. I downloaded the NRX version of KOF2003 from Neogamez problem is like all recent Neo-Geo ROM releases is that it has odd gliches/bugs here and there. Here's the ones i noticed: -The KOF2004 Hero thing. Yes i know that there are hacks of games out there (SVC Plus) but is this the only version of KOF2003 for NRX or is the original ROM also out there for NRX cuz the HERO kills the intro for me and also causes gfx glitches in the demo. -Many missing sounds/speech/wonky sounding music - I know that this will require a M1 fix. I dont know if the bad sounding music is cuz of a lack of an M1 fix or if its a result of design. -Practice mode glitch- you cant pick any other characters except for the same one youre using. This goes for single practice. In team practice the game gets stuck because of this. -Console mode menu- Is the menu really supposed to look this simple? If it does then that sucks and is a sure sign of laziness.... Thats all i noticed from the little time ive spent with the ROM. So let me ask again, is there an original KOF2003 ROM for NRX and are there any fixes for KOF2003 NRX and if so can i get links to them? Thanks *disappears*
