  1. I all ready have / have seen every episode. Awesome to hear though. PS: I hope the 12th season starts to pick up the first two eps have been really average.
  2. Zelda is the most solid first game you can get for your Wii.
  3. Guybrush Threepwood of Monkey Island fame. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guybrush_Threepwood Monkey Island "Inspired" Pirates Of The Carribbean MI Being Inspired by the Ride

  5. For Americans. Hollywood WW2 movies tend to suck as they become this big pile of "AMERICA **** YEA!" and make out that every American loves America and they never did anything wrong in the slightest, etc. There not all like that....but most of them. At times they can feel like American Propaganda films. For instance in this case, I don't recall through out the movie the ban trade to Japan (America was meant to be neutral at this time) due to Japans ongoing war with China. Im not saying the events at Pearl Harbour were warranted, I don't believe they were and it was a horrble loss of human life. My point is Hollywood movies tend to leave out certain facts. Thats why when its comes to WW2 I much prefer to read books then watch movies.
  6. Sorry my mistake not the Twilgiht hack, Trucha-Signed discs are out the window. My Bad.
  7. It seems like Nintendo are on the case, new firmware update which is setting the way for blocking out the Twilight Hack. More info here. http://wiibrew.org/index.php?title=IOS37 So unless people never want to update there consoles (Which would mean you wont be able to play future games that require newer firmware) it looks like this hack will end soon.
  8. I really dislike disrespect to women. Generally only weak assholes do it, while I agree with you that sometimes they deserve it (cheating on you, etc). But just insulting them for the fun of it / just for kicks is really not on, if anyone did it to any female friend I had you would have your teeth kicked into the back of your skull. I think MCA of the Beastie Boys says it best is Sure Shot.
  9. People I have on my lists from 1Emu are Fatal Rose, Miretank, General Plot, thats more then likely all.
  10. Possibly, however since you need a mod chip for the drive to read backups, I don't see how it would be able to read the disc. The closest to reading backups on a un modded wii is the Zelda exploit (which now boots data from the wii's front SD slot).
  11. While I enjoy Taxi Driver, I have always thought its highly overrated. All the left over crap from number 2, quite boring without many laughs.
  12. Im sure they gave it to him in the end, despite what crap things say. I laughed for a good while. Job done! This sounds more realistic as you would have to wonder....where did they get the box from?
  13. http://wiibrew.org/index.php?title=Twilight_Hack as well as other wii scene sites.
  14. Another update, the exploit can now be launched directly from the Wii's SD card reader. Big update!.
  15. Just watched these two back to back on the 50inch plasma, amazing movies which I have watched countless times, I will watch number 3 tomorrow (Without a doubt the weakest in both terms of storyline and acting), Robert Di Nero's role of young Vito never gets old.
  16. Schools in session, cliche saying? maybe, but the game is awesome. We all know it, or at least know of it. Take Grand Theft Auto and throw it into the school yard, it sounds perfect doesn't it? Well it pretty much is, The Wii version which has slight visual tweaks, controls to die for and new classes and takes what all ready was a great game, and makes it one of the best games currently available on the system. System Tested On PAL Wii displaying at 480p over component cables on a 50inch 1080i Plasma. Gameplay (9.5 out of 10) The gameplay is something I wont go into in terms of Bully itself, if you dont know how the game plays with its sandbox style gameplay, you really need to go out and get yourself a copy of GTA. The main thing I will talk about is the Wii controls and how they play into the gameplay of Bully. Fighting, its a pretty big part of Bully, hand to hand combat. On the Playstation 2 this was a button masher at best, now on the Wii, it has depth and is actually really fun. You use your nunchuck as your left hand and your wii-mote as your right hand and when "you throw a punch" in real life, you throw a bunch in the game. (Its fairly similar to The Godfather's fighting system, but more polished). Its a big step in the right direction for Bully, its a lot more fun to fight with this system then it ever was on the PS2 version. Big plus. While you now aim with the wii-mote for your slingshot and other projectiles, it is not as polished off as I would have liked the cross hair is centered and any movement in any direction sends it hurtling that way, while it takes longer to get use to than it really should, the absence of a boundary box in the games aiming system is something that Rockstar really overlooked. Classes, Who would have thought I would ever enjoy being back in a classroom, if your not familar with the class system of the game, you have two classes a day which are pretty much jus themed minigames, Scholarship Edition brings with it more interactive ways to play the old classes as well as some all new classes of it's own, which hold up as mini-games on there own. The carnival also has some new Wii-Mote friendly carnival games. The mini-games also for the first time have the ability to be played in Multiplayer mode. The only problem I had with the new classes is the only reward you get for completing them is new outfits that you can change into, and while new extras are always welcome in ports, it feels a bit of a let down, though im sure it would have been too much work for them to go and give you something worthwhile for your time. Sound (7.5 out of 10) The music in Bully fits it perfectly, many of the games tracks sound like altered versions of background tracks from another Rockstar game, The Warriors, but they fit the situations really well. No complaints with the music, there none that really get into your brain as video game classics, but it does the job, and it does it well. Every character has there own orignal (If not a bit corny) voice, which makes the world of Bully really come alive, and make you feel like the School is alive. Graphics (8 of 10) If you have played the PS2 version of Bully, you pretty much know what the graphics will look like, there are some slight tweaks and a new particle here and there but they didnt really take the Wii's hardware to its fullest like they did for the control scheme, but its still a visually pleasing game and looks better then any other sandbox game on the Wii (Scareface / The Godfather) which have horrible pop-up issues, etc. Replay Value (8 out of 10) Playing this game the first time, may be a replay for many people if they have all ready played it on the Playstation 2, but the Wii version is really worth going through it all again, the fighting system which is really entertaing now as well as the extra classes give Scholarship Edition just enough of a new feeling that former students of Bullworth can still be entertained by another year at everyones number one school. There plently of missions, side missions, bike races, kart races to keep you entertained even after the main missions are all completed. The multiplayed aspect is nothing special, it offers a half hour of competetive play with a friend before its uterly boring, but its still better then no multiplayer at all, which is what you would expect from a sandbox game. Overall (8.25 out of 10) Over all Bully: Scholarship Edition is a must own for anyone with a Wii, even if you have played it before you will still enjoy another go at this great game. If you never picked it up on its first time around, your one luck person because your first serving will be what I think is the ultimate version of Bully.
  17. Been awhile since my last review, but never fear Wii-Lovers im back and with a new game in hand. There was a time when Point N Click adventure games could not be released without the making the front of gaming magazines, however in today gaming world they come in few and there media coverage is even smaller. Capcom have brought along the old and classic formula of the Point N Click, but teamed it up with the Wii remote it adds a whole new dimension to the genre. System Tested On PAL Wii displaying at 480p over component cables on a 1080i Plasma. Gameplay (8 out of 10) Many people will see this gameplay score and go, What! But the game is just surprisingly addictive. It plays like a old point and click, in the sense that you pick items up and use them on certain objects, however it is very interactive when the Wii mote is brought into the picture. Other than the classic Point N Click set up the game is divided in to small levels, the better you solve single puzzles, the more points you get and the more money you will find along the way. You can use money for a verity of things, the most useful being hints, which can help you in a tight situation. On the Wii mote side of things, you will use it for things such as pulling levers, turning cranks, fishing as well as pretty much anything else you can think of, the controls are tight and responsive, very well done by Capcom. I was also scared that the game would be too easy, it seems childish, its simple to play, but the game has had me stuck on more than one occasion, some very well thought out puzzles. Sound (6 out of 10) The sound is nothing special and really is the only downfall in the game, the game has its moments with a lot of text, and I cant help but feel that some speech would have done the game great. The music is fairly well done, nothing overtly special but it does the job nicely enough. The Japanese high pitched yells and screams are fun and entertaining at first, but after awhile it becomes nothing short of annoying. Graphics (8.5 of 10) One of the best Cel Shaded games I have seen for a long time, the games graphical style is perfect, while many Cel Shaded games suffer from annoying jaggies, Zack and Wiki does a really good job of seeming smooth all around. The cartoon imagery captures the feel of the game great and the characters are unique and cute. The textures fit to what they should, and it works greatly. Sure it doesn't have the massive poly counts, but I never count graphics on how detailed they are, I count them on a whole, and without a doubt they do the job, and they do the job well! Replay Value (6 out of 10) Very little replay value, you can play through stages again to get perfect scores, but theres not much reason to really do such a thing, once the game is over I don't think you will be running back again and again when you know how to solve the problems. Overall (7.625 out of 10) Capcom have done a great job at breathing new life into what many consider a stale and obsolete genere. Zack & Wiki: Quest for Barbaros' Treasure shows us just how a Wii game should be made. I give it my tick of approval and urge you all to go get a copy.
  18. When Resident Evil 4 was released on the Nintendo Gamecube in early 2005 it made many heads turn, an awesome game that was as graphically violent as it was addictive and it really brought the Resident Evil series back on track and back on top.In late 05 it hit the Playstation 2, with some downgrades such as pre-rendered cut-scenes, downgraded lighting effect (something that played an important part to the feel of the GC version) and downgraded water effects. So how does Resident Evil 4 hold out on Nintendo's new little white box? Does it still have the hard hitting effect it did 2 years ago? Read on to find out. - System Tested On Played using a PAL Wii with and imported NTSC-U version of Resident Evil 4 running at 480p over Component cables. Gameplay (Score - 9 / 10) While nothing has changed in terms of level design, puzzles and enemy's, the overall feel of the game has changed to the point where you can really play this one through again just for the fun you have with beheading enemy's with your wii-mote, and yes despite all those romours of a censored version RE4 comes to us in all its gory glory. As little has changed from the previous installments I will move onto what makes the Wii port what it is, the controls. The controls are crisp and precise, without a doubt one of the best use of the Wii-Mote we have seen in terms of how well it was implemented, no annoying accidental flics of your wrist and your character spins 180, no accidental reloads. The only downfall I see in the controls is that unlike many games before it on the Wii you no longer control the direction your character is looking via the wii-mote, it is still dont through the analog stick via the nunchuck, you simply aim with the wii mote once you have your weapon drawn. Thats not to say this did not work out well, after a good 10 or 15 minutes in it will feel second nature to you and you will be aiming at enemys heads before even having you weapon drawn. One thing that this really has over the Gamecube and PS2 versions is the button mashing (seen in the running from boulders scenes / to get enemy's off you) has now been swapped over for a simple back and forth motion on your controller, its feels much more natural and before you know it once a enemy has latched onto you you will find yourself frantically swinging the controller left and right. Another natural feeling motion is when you slice horizontally with the wii-mote Leon will slash with his knife, this I must say is something I am really happy with, I use the dagger a lot more now than I did in its counterparts. Sound (Score - 9 / 10) The sound, like in the other versions of RE4, is pretty much perfect, it sets the mood and scares you even if theres no action happening on screen, the only The only annoyance I had with the sound is lack of Sorround sound support (which is due to Nintendo, not RE4) but Pro Logic II more than makes up for this loss. Graphics (Score - 8 / 10) The graphics are pretty much what you find in the Gamecube version, I have not been able to find any differences that are noticeable in terms of increased texture size or AA levels. It still is a beautiful game to look at with its lighting effects (That were absent in the PS2 version) which still drop jaws to this day, but it doesnt have the same impact that it did 2 years ago. It now has true widescreen support as well as running through 480p. Playing at 480p really gives you an advantage in this game as you can see much further much clearer as well as making the colours all that much more natural and thus scarier. The funny thing about this is that it currently is one of the Wii's most graphically impressive games, and it was created for the last generation Nintendo Console. Replay Value (Score - 7 / 10) With no Online/hot seat multiplayer (For obvious reasons) and the fact many people have all ready sat through this title once the replay value is a little short. It does however have all of the extra content that the PS2 port held so that should keep you busy for awhile. Overall (Score - 8.25 / 10) Overall this is a well rounded game that shows what Wii owners should expect graphically from games at a minimum. The game plays well as is well worth another play through if you have finished it before. If you have never played Resident Evil 4 before then you are in for one massive treat as this is without a doubt the cream of the crop in terms of the best version to play through. The Wii-Mote is used to its fullest with its dead on accuracy. I highly recommend every Wii owner to get there hands on this. You wont be disappointed. Another thing I would like to point at this game retails a lot cheaper than normal new release Wii games.
  19. I don't think a movie, in the history of film has ever made quite the impact that The Godfather did. It is not only the perfect gangster movie of all time, it is a perfect movie in itself. Countless Top 100's have it as its number one, and I have to agree. From my first sitting of this movie I have always had a weird since of pride about my Sicilian heritage. So the movie is perfect, but is the game, that follows a original story line set in the Godfather world perfect? Lets find out. System Tested On PAL Wii displaying at 480p over component cables on a EDTV (100hz Progressive CRT) Gameplay (7 out of 10) The first thing that hit my mind, the hand to hand fighting system in this, I really think was pulled off well, its responsive and at times pretty fun, Its actually more in depth that Wii sports' boxing. Now the use of guns works great with the Wii-Mote, however its not as polished off as with some later games that have been released, but it does the job none the less. The game sports some original ways to use the controller, example to open a door you tilt the wii-mote like opening a door, but for the most part these actions feel fairly forced and they are not really needed. The way the story is told is fairly good, the cutscenes look pretty good as there main focus is the character models, which as I mention in the graphics section, are fairly nice. The game really does feel like a enhanced version of Mafia (Enhanced in terms of the wii). It doesn't really pull you into the time as much as you would like, but the music aids in that. The game kind of reminds me of the Scarface game, the game had the potential to be awesome but it fell short, the missions just drag on and many feel like 'Point A to B for no reason then kill person, drive back to point A' and after awhile it becomes fairly boring. The missions that do revolve around the story though are fairly nice and makes doing the boring ones worth while just to know what happens next. Sound (8 out of 10) The sound is really well done in The Godfather, beautiful background music that really makes the atmosphere of the game pull you into the time frame. The voice acting is some of the best I have seen in a sandbox style game, though sometimes the cliche italian voice is a little over used but other than that the voice acting is right on the money. Graphics (6.5 of 10) I was expecting some horrible graphics to be honest, and what I was greeted with was not that bad at all. The character models displayed are fairly detailed, there faces are unique and hold quite a bit of detail. The textures are not the greatest and they do looked washed out at times but for the dark moo of the game they fit fairly well. The only real downside to the graphics are there are quite a few jaggies in the game, but if your a Wii owner you are more than use to this by now. The textures used on buildings could also be a bit cleaner but overall this is one of the better looking Wii games, despite it being released as a launch title, though we all know the Wii can pump out much better graphics than this. Another problem I noticed as time went on is every now and again the FPS drops by quite a lot, if this happens in a gun fight, its makes the controls jump around a fair bit, this has only happened twice in about 2 hours, but none the less it does leave an annoying impression. Replay Value (6 out of 10) No multiplayer, as its a sandbox game and once you finish it I highly doubt you will be screaming for more. Overall (6.875 out of 10) The Godfather movie, was perfect. The game falls several feet short, to its many graphical downsides and lackluster excitement factor it does get a bit dull at times. If your a Godfather fan, I would suggest you pick it up just to enjoy some more of the Corleone family goodness. If you own a Wii and are a fan of the GTA series I would pick it up as there are not many mature games on the Wii and as a GTA clone, it goes all right. But as for the rest of you, I wouldn't suggest picking it up. Other than the hand to hand combat system, this game really doesnt have anything memorable about it. If you have played Mafia, you may feel your in a rerun at times. As a fan of the movies (and I mean they are up there in my top 3 movies with Scarface and Donnie Darko) I have to say this game was a bit of a lit down, it would of been better IMO if you controlled one of the Corleone's.
