  1. Man this is really bad news Anyway Gamecop, this is how you can connect to emuchina through Mirc. first get Mirc from www.mirc.com if you haven't already You can also get other versions of Mirc which had lots of scripts and stuff but you only really need the basic Mirc Anyway, open Mirc and go to file, options, connect, click add and enter the following information: description: Emuchina Irc server: irc.newnet.net Port: 6667 Once you have entered those things, click add and then OK on the options box. NOw press the connect button(the lightning) and you should connect to irc.newnet.net. Type /j #emuchina and you will join the emuchina chat room. To get a list of active FSERVERS, just type !list in the channel. You should then see a bunch of FSERVER triggers. They will usually start with an exclamation mark eg: !emuchina or !Mr_Roms Once you have chosen a trigger, type it in the channel. This will start a DCC chat(private chat) but actually this is an FSERVER. The commands are just like DOS and Linux. So an example would be something like this: dir s*.* ( return all files beginning with letter "s" ) cd gbaroms cd snesroms cd genesisroms read genesisreadme.txt get populous.zip Hope that helps you man.
  2. Doom III Beta has been leaked onto the net. Here are some screenies that people took Screens I really really really want this game. I probably need a new video card to run it though
  3. This is great news for a DC fanboy like me If anyone needs help with making a selfboot copy of Dreamsnes v.0.9.8, feel free to post in the DC emulation forum.
  4. I like both too but since I am more used to using phpbb the last year, I am going to choose it as my favourite.
  5. you used to have your own forums? how much did it all cost, if you dont mind me asking? i think emsley is intrested in starting one for his site. hopefully phpbb is cheaper than vbulletin. vbulletin cost mad flow i beleive. I hosted my forums on tripod.co.uk. So I had 50Mb of space to play around with which is ok when you don't have many members. Phpbb is free and really easy to install on tripod. It only took me 5 minutes to set it up
  6. I have dialup. Whenever I go to my friends house and use his 1Mbit connection I feel pretty happy. Then when I come back home and have to use my crappy 56k I feel like smashing stuff Hopefully next year I can get myself a 512k connection or at least 300+. I want speed
  7. Yes there is. I will stick a tutorial up for you later when I come back. Edit: I was going to write a tutorial for you but there is already a good one. If you go to This siteyou can download the files you need, get game compatability lists and also follow the tutorials to make a selfboot cd. There isn't much new stuff that runs on this but its still fun for a while.
  8. Yeah the move to phpbb is great Gamecop! I think it looks better plus you can add a ton of really cool hacks and mods onto it, plus make your own themes. I used to have my own phpbb forum with 3 members At least it looked nice lol
  9. The best Neo Geo emu for the DC at the moment is probably Warmtoe's MAIM(Dreamcast version of MAME). At least it seems to be the fastest but with slightly less compatability. The max rom size is about 4.5Mb so you can only really run old, old games. Old stuff like Fatal Fury will run 80% - 90% with sound, baseball stars 2 the same. There are some improvements being made though and if Warmtoe can fix the possible memory leak then games of 10Mb could be played on the DC. The 16Mb of Dreamcast Ram is what restricts us. If it had double that, then even some N64 emulation would be possible...it's a shame. Anyway, I will add this info and the info about the other 3 MAMEs for DC to my faq soon enough
  10. The candyman, Jack Nicolas in the Shining and Anothony Hopkins playin Hannibal Lecter, scary stuff.
  11. Someone also told me these channels on Mirc have DC ISOs. Someone might want to give them a try. Channels not allowedo - Diso
  12. Link not Allowed -Diso You need Bobdown for this site. I haven't tried it but it was updated about a day ago, so the downloads should work
  13. If you are a dialup user then you don't really need a firewall since your IP changes everytime you "dial up". Most people who hack you are dumbass script kiddies, so you can feel safe.
  14. this is a really good idea and hopefully we can find out who is trying to sabotage things for us. Only problem is what if the person has a dynamic IP (uses dialup) or if they post from a proxy? How would we catch them?
  15. Yeah this is a good idea. It doesn't affect me because I couldn't even figure out how to make a sticky in the Dreamcast forum lol So if someone knows, then make the Dreamcast emulation FAQ I am writing a sticky please  Edit: nevermind I finally noticed the admin options at the bottom. (only took me 2 months )
  16. I used to use Hotline a little bit but I haven't used it for a long time because all the sites I had stopped working. I need to look for some new ones... If I find any I will post them here.
  17. Tell NTL to kiss your arse  You pay for your access, so you can use it as much as you please. If they still suck, use blueyonder. I use them and I stay connected for hours on end, never get disconnected and never get letters telling me to use it less. I really want broadband though Your site is looking cool
  18. Here is one Another one oh look another one! another Hopefully one of those is what you want man.
  19. The Simpsons is one of the best TV shows ever. Homer makes me laugh so much everytime, and Bart I don't like marge and Lisa so much though, they are typical women, always MOANING!!!!!!!!
  20. Street Fighter 3: Third Strike for Dreamcast. That game is pretty much perfection in a fighting game
  21. Yeah I have finished both of those games more than once I would play them again if they remade them for the GBA.
  22. Jedi Knight II is pretty good too. I agree though, the last great star wars games on PC were the Tie Fighter and X-wing games. They rocked. I liked all the Super star wars series of games on the Snes too though. I like my games hard
  23. Just tell those idiots at emuparadise (especially hippohomo) to come and look at tapewurms posts here. It is obvious that it isn't him, I mean the tapewurm here can spell and sounds really smart for one Whoever is trying to make people here look bad is just an ass and needs to get a life pretty fast...pathetic.
  24. I have a 256 Mbit flash cart and linker which equates to 32Mbyte in size. I can fit 5 or 6 games on it at a time depending on the size of the rom(also sometimes more when you trim them). I think what you are forgetting is that when you pay $200-$300 for your card, you are also getting every GBA game now and until it dies, for free. You also get to play the latest releases in Japan (and the USA if you live in Europe) way before other people. You can also use emulators and homebrew stuff and play mp3s and crap on your GBA. I have 400 gameboy advance games Now if I had paid for all those it would have cost me about $11,000!!! I think you catch my drift PS Yes I did buy all those 400 games, honest PPS The only problem you might have now is that Microsoft & Nintendo killed Lik-Sang (the makers and biggest distributers) of the Flash linkers. You should still be able to get them from other HK sites and maybe even some in the USA.
