    sega changes
    Ported across from MAME2003+ our older version of the
    outrun.c driver which uses the faster system16 gfx and
    also supports Turbo Outrun.

    As a result Turbo Outrun now performs the best out of
    any arcade core available on the Xbox, but as always
    there is small price to pay.

    The romsets for Super Hang-On, Outrun and Turbo Outrun
    will now have to change and once again only the bootleg
    version of Super Hang-on will be playable in this core.

    Due to rolling the core back and removing redundant code
    we can no longer support the following Sega Y-board games
    however they always performed better in FBL anyway so no
    great loss and this emulator is now leaner and meaner as
    a result of dumping alotta duplicated code......

  2. EpochX v1.0

    EpochX v1.0 is an emulator of the Epoch Super Cassette Vision console for the original Xbox.

    WHY? The MessoXtras emulator already emulated the Super Cassette Vision, but the emulation was far from perfect: some games didn't work in MessoXtras (for example, "Doraemon Nobita's Time Machine" didn't start), and other games had important graphical glitches (like Comic Circus), and even more: these graphical glitches made unplayable certain games (for example, the third level in the game "Lupin III" was impossible due to these glitches).

    This new EpochX emulator has a fixed emulation based on a much more modern core, it removes almost all of the glitches, and it makes playable almost all of the games. And yes: we can finally play Doraemon for the SCV!

    HOW TO MAKE IT WORK: Copy the emulator in the hard disk of your Xbox. Then, roms must be copied compressed in ZIP format, inside of the "roms/scv" folder (don't delete the existing files!). Then, launch the emulator and select your desired game from your list, or select "Doraemon Nobita's Time Machine" to play the Doraemon game.

    HOW TO START A GAME: Although each game may have different controls (and you can redefine them), basically the WHITE button is "1" in the console, the BLACK button is "2", and the "A" button is Start. With this in mind, press the buttons to select your desired game mode in the menus, and finally press "A".

    In the main part of the games you will need to press this sequence of buttons to play in Amateur mode: WHITE, WHITE and A buttons (because Amateur mode is usually the "1" option in the menus). In order to play with other difficulty level, you will need to press BLACK (to select the "2" option) or even "Y" (to enter in a submenu, like in Comic Circus).

    OTHER CONTROLS (they can also be redefined in the main menu):

    * START: Opens or closes the main menu
    * BACK: Exits to the rom list or cancels an option.[/quote]

  4. picodrive is now available for the wii,wiiu and gamecube as part of the retroarch frontend.
    picodrive plays sega master system/sega megadrive/sega cd and 32X.

    the best version is the wii version as the wiiu has some sound stutter and can slow down depending on the game you are playing.
    but the wii version plays really well.

  10. Handheld DreamX

    Handheld DreamX emulates a lot of old handheld machines from Coleco, Bandai, Tomy, Epoch... plus some vintage electronic games like "MB Simon".

    Controls are different for each game, and could be redefined in the second option of the main menu (press Start to get this menu).

    But usually, games start pressing the WHITE button or the A button. In a few cases like the Pacman games, we should press Left or Up to start the game.

    The normal controls include the 4 directions Up-Down-Left-Right and sometimes one or two buttons (usually A and B). In some games (marked in yellow color) a keyboard is recommended to be able to play.

    Pressing BACK the emulator will prompt you if you want to finish the game. Press A to confirm or BACK again to cancel.

    Several games have an option in the main menu ("Machine configuration") where you can set different difficulty levels or kinds of gameplay.

    Finally, the emulator supports a simple feature to save state. To save state you must press the RIGHT THUMBSTICK (and A button to cofirm, or BACK to cancel), and to load state you must press the LEFT THUMBSTICK (and again, A button to confirm). This is useful because some handheld machines begin the game in a very slow speed (and sometimes it is boring if you are an expert in that game). Saving a state in the moment that the game becomes interesting, makes possible to skip this initial stage.

    This title has never been released on the Mega Drive before and was originally released for Sharp X68000 computers. The game is supposedly one of the biggest influences on the development of Guardian Heroes.this port is a new release

    This is my unofficial version of retroarch that i call nintendo edition (lol). I have this build for some time. Initially I had no plans to release because there so many alternatives to play emulators these days. But i know there still a lot of old xbox lovers like me, so I decided to release it. Maybe i have to take out my rose-colored glasses, lol. GB (gambatte) and GBA (gpsp) are very good cores and can run games full speed. Also, there's another 2 cores, nestopia and snes9x2005 plus, but i would not recomend because nestopia xtecuter version and madmab-snes9xbox are much better than the version of this build.

    Controls on menu: 'X' button to confirm. 'A' button to go back.
    Controls in game: 'Right thumbstick click' to go back to menu.

    Note: When you enter on emu, instead of using the load content options go on playlist to see the screenhots. Take a look on the thumbnails and playlist folders to see how the files are named.

    This is my initial Xbox port of The Griffon Legend.


    The Griffon Legend is an action RPG with screen-to-screen map. It features
    original storyline and design made in 16-bit style RPG's of SNES/GENESIS era.

    During gameplay you can see up to 3 bars below your character. The top is
    health, the next is attack strength (let it charge to hit harder) and then
    spell strength (same as attack). When you learn new spells you will see their
    icons in the bottom right corner with a meter below them to show them charging.
    When the meter turns orange they are ready for use.

    Some history

    Originally The Griffon Legend was written in FreeBASIC
    using SDL for graphics and FMOD for sound/music. That restricted the game to
    be released for Windows only. Now The Griffon Legend is rewritten in plain C
    using SDL and SDL_mixer for better portability, the source code is licensed
    under GPL2 license (see COPYING). All non source code assets are licensed under
    Creative Commons and are copyright of their respective authors.
