opened with hex editor and located the 266-m1.bin text string on the right and a bunch of numbers mostly double zeros on the right. where should i look for the inverted crc.

I 've noticed that they 've removed 266-m1d crc for matrim romset & that 's the only m1d of 256 Kb in the 2 vers. of fbaxpec. To edit the m1d size, go to offset 2932BE & replace 04 with 02, then save.

Anyway, the correct m1 & m1d 'R both 128 Kb.
If U need a rom of 256 Kb, just type Dos cmd prompt : copy /b Name of Ur rom + Name of Ur rom again Name of the saved rom...
exemple : copy /b 266-m1d.bin + 266-m1d.bin 266-m1df.bin ; then, rename 266-m1df.bin (256 Kb) in 266-m1d.bin or what U need.
The other way : open Ur default.xbe with an hex editor, search Ur rom name string, then edit the size just before Ur rom inverted crc : replace 4 (4 for 256 Kb) with 2 (2 for 128 Kb) in this case, then save.

This problem is with the P rom not the S rom.
Yes, U 'R right I read that victories comments are erased in US & euro regions. It 's not due to S rom : all the last fixed S do nothing.

The game 's perfect. Ur problem 's due to S1 rom. U 've to use S1 (crc32 DF422440 [128 Kb no transparencies] if U use Cs roms of 8 Mb/each) & S1 (crc32 3BA05252 [128 Kb no transparencies] if U use merged Cs roms [Cs roms of 16 Mb/each]).

I use the same S1 rom of 512 Kb, that's the reason I get the error of the timer.
Also, ZhaoSili, a guy from EGCG, has removed the protection of kof2003b P1. It now works perfectly with Kawa-X. The P1 's available on his webspace : http://ZslTools.Yeah.Net

also i'm having a prob when trying kof2003b with or without the 512k s1 in fba-xxx; it will lock up the emu when trying to load it

hmm the pc version didn't give me a prob after adding the needed info to neogeo.h and neo_run.cpp.
Why is the timer erased ?

i think the problem is still the emu as gogo is still working on it to fix it to use the s1 data out of the c roms
I 've had the same problem in using Cs roms of 8 Mb with FBa PC ver.

as of right now its not working properly form what mr. x told me and i doubt it will work properly since even kof2003b alone didn't work in fba-xxx
S1 with tréansparencies works but there 'R glitches with Cs of 8 Mb : the timer 's erased & Power bars 'R cut.

its supposed to work properly, im using it with 8 MB C ROMs. it requires extra code in FBA (and probably in MAME as well) to work though.
I try to add it in FBa (not FBa on PC).

Just use those patches to get the proper Vs : rotd_v_patches.zip
Then, split the 2 Vs : 264-v1.bin crc32 FA005812 & 264-v2.bin crc32 C3DC8BF0 in 2 x 4 Mb (each) to get the 4 decrypted Vs : 264-v1d.bin crc32 5C77A3FE, 264-v2d.bin crc32 A9B7AF14, 264-v3d.bin crc32 17AFF92A & 264-v4d.bin crc32 BC6A091E.

whoops! My bad. Just downloaded it. I'll try it and see if it works.
Sadly it didn't work. It really must be my v roms. My version of fbaxxx only recognizes two versions of Rage of the Dragons. rotd and rotdn. Both versions need 4 V roms and according to the information above I have the right crc32. So now I'm more confused than before, and I'm telling you I was pretty confused before.
Just split the 2 Vs roms : 264-v1.bin crc32 FA005812 & 264-v2.bin crc32 C3DC8BF0 in 2 x 4 Mb (each) to get the 4 decrypted Vs : 264-v1d.bin crc32 5C77A3FE, 264-v2d.bin crc32 A9B7AF14, 264-v3d.bin crc32 17AFF92A & 264-v4d.bin crc32 BC6A091E.

To get the proper m1d, just split that m1 in 2 x 64 Kb, then, keep m1d 64 Kb crc32 E5F42E7D & add 64 Kb (dummy file [00 00 00 until the end]) => m1d 128 Kb crc32 362C8D96.

Chinese guys said M1 & V roms 'R available on bbs.jj.jx.cn forum (in their ftp). I can't check up cuz I can't go to their ftp, I don't speak chinese so I don't understand how to access their ftp.
