  1. the mslug4nd set in the current version uses 4 vroms but this set is actually considered as a bootleg. i won't change it in my compile but might later on also i just noticed that samsho5 based from kawaks dev drivers are in there, did anyone try this out yet?

Yes, about mslug4, the whole set is bootleg ; the 8 Mb V roms 're patched (4 bytes diff. per V).

I already made a compile with samsho5 with P roms matching Kawaks 1.48 Dev driver, I got an error after launching the game.

  2. sound crackles can also deal with the v roms if they aren't split unless iq_132's neopcm fix was added (which isn't)

another note, i finally got the source so now i'll begin working on my new compile and will make a dat

Yes, we know the 2 V roms of 8 Mb (each) generate glitches if neopcm fix isn't added in mslug4 driver.

So, we can use the 4 decrypted V roms if neopcm fix isn't added & if we don't want to compil our own FBa-X.

  3. thanks one more thing, on metal slug 4, how do i get the m1d and m1 roms, i mean they are 64 k i think and mine are 128 k, the game runs fine but the sound crackles.

It's due to the fact M1d 128 Kb is an overdump. Split it in 2 x 64 Kb to get the M1d needed by the emu.

  4. thanks got most of the roms working but i have a question for samurai showdown 5, i have one 8mb p1 rom, but in winhex it says 1 4mb p1 and 1 4mb p2, do i split it, or something i tried using winhex but i think it ruins my roms

Yes, U're right. U can split them in 2 x 4 Mb with your hex editor or with softs like X-Cut, Hacha or Winsplit.

If U want the updated decrypted P roms with the right CRC to match the ones required by the emu, go to Romshare forum in General emulation/Samsho5 Topic to find the patches : http://bbs.romshare.net (have to be registered, it's free).

  5. i have xp and rom build uses dos and everytime i use rom build the command screen leaves as fast as it came.

    1.whats ppxbbs?

    2.my rom names:

    kof2003f.zip 87.6mb(decryptedc,hackedp1)

    mslug4nd.zip 61.3mb(decrypted c & v)

    mslug5nd.zip 86.3mb(decrypted c & v)

U can use it ; just specify the path to launch it in a Dos window.

U can update your sets with Clr Mame Pro too if U prefer.

    1. ppxbbs 's a nice chinese forum : http://bbs.jj.jx.cn (have to be registered) & http://klk.yeah.net

    2. Extra romsets drivers 're disabled in FBa-xxx, check U use "fbaxspec" if all your roms 're "OK".

  6. i tried looking for the fbaxspec on file mirrors and all i get is a fbaxspeccoldsets and it only has one defauult.xbe, so i dont know if thats the right one.

    1. as for svcplus i used rom center and it made 2 seperate folders(svcbl.zip 80.1mb, missing 269-p1.bin,269-s1.bin and svcplus.zip 56.3mb, missing svc_p1.rom ).

    2.samsho5.zip 80.3mb still missing 270-p1.bin.

3.dont know how to update driver for mslug.zip.

4.mslug4nd.zip, mslug5nd.zip and kof2003f.zip wont show up on fbaxxx.

Yes, the default.xbe U got is OK (it uses the former drivers).

    1. & 2. Find samsho5 & svc missing roms around the Net (romshare or ppxbbs for example) ;

    3. If U use the default.xbe (with the former drivers), your romset 'll work without update ; to update, use Rombuild from RomCenter site for example : www.logiqx.com/ROMBuild/ROMBuild.shtml

    4. Check your roms names.

  7. Alright i need help with these files for samsho5.zip(270-p1.bin, 611a6687), svcplus.zip(svc_p1.rom, 1cc8fb7a). Also kof2003f.zip and mslug5nd.zip i have all the files they just dont show up on fbaxxx for xbox, and a good working mslug.zip without graphics error

mslug set matches the one required by Mame (if U use the default.xbe with the updated drivers). If U use the former set, U'll get Gfx glitches.

About samsho5, svcplus & the other extra sets, check your roms names & sizes, & check U use the 2nd default.xbe (the.zip file 's called fbaxspec).

  8. simply cauz we don't wanna post sources with many bugs.... We all know u want to do ur own little version of fbaxxx prican... and good new : source are now available...

Now i got a question prican...u really want our source...why didn't u tell us u made ur own version before ?

u come often on the board...why didn't u give us YOUR source ?

    Why don't U use samsho5 & matri original sets (Kawaks 1.48 Dev) ?

    FBa 02.94.98 drivers 're available.

  9. i need help B)

i just downloaded the june 1st version of fbax and all my new roms, mslug4, mslug5, samsho5, svc, rotd, pim give me crc errors, and says that the p1 rom is too big, please help me, i tried using romcenter but its no help.

Just open the default.xbe with an Hex editor to see the roms & romsets names. Also, use No CRC option after launching FBA-XXX, if your roms don't match the required roms.

  10. well gogo says theres gonna be another release and when that one is out so shall the source B)

    It's updated to 06.01.04 (don't know if samsho5 SRAM error's fixed...).

About samsho5, it wasn't an error. Having cheats & Unibios enabled at the same time 'll cause the WORK RAM errors to appear (as the emulator 'll apply the cheats while the game 's testing the RAM).

  11. Can somebody please pm me the 264-m1d.bin of the decryted or cryted file of this rom?

    264-m1d.bin is available on this page : http://galeon.hispavista.com/noestaqui/RY.htm (it's named m1, but ti's the m1d). Also, split it in 2 x 64 Kb to get the m1d crc32 : E5F42E7D.
