I bought a dreamcast today which was displayed unboxed in a shop window, I had to buy it as they where giving 15 games 2 controllers and 2 VMU, all for £20, cant argue with that. When I got the Dreamcast home and put it next to my 1st Dreamcast which I got on the launch date, the new one is pure yellow, no ammount of cleaning can get rid of this, what the hell did the previous owner do with it, thats what I wanna know! lol

I got a copy of it, its basically a demo where you have to find the president of SEAGA who died a few years ago, plus its got the talking heads from the Passport disc on the PAL version of Shenmue.

I'm pretty sure the emulators would read ripped versions, the developers of icarus may even have there own format of ISO for the emulator, like the Gamecube ISO, sice we havnt had a release yet, only time will tell

Yes they do, and the new system will not be out until at LEAST the end of 2005, and the Gamecube is a steal at only £70 in the UK and it will prolly be around the same price where you stay! GET ONE!

A normal PC-CDROM Drive can only read regular Discs, and a DVD-ROM drive also cant read a DC disc!

Not yet, a Dreamcast emulator called icarus is the only one which emulates commercial games, but it hasnt been released yet!

The game is in an Image format such as NERO, CDI etc, all you do is burn the image using the appropriate burning software, the game is also self boot, just put the CD in your Dreamcast and it will run, don’t even need a modified Dreamcast!

Believe it or not I actually do own it but its still sealed and I dont wanna open it.

I've just downloaded the 2 disc ISO's in the same Archive, both Echelon or what you call it, My question is, when I reach the point for Disc 2 will the game detect it, as when I boot the game with disc 2 it asks me for disc 1, when I swap it says its not disc 1? Anyone know what will happen once I play up to disc 2? Cheers?

Turns out it wasnt the beta of Icarus, however Icarus has a new member to the development team, the guy who made the 3DO emulator 'FreeDO' so progress should be announced soon! hopefully, at least now we know its still being worked on!

Hmm.. I dont hink its been ported and I think it would be a bit of a task as the PS2 and XBox have slight slowdown??

Using shareza I have had speeds of 300Kb/s (30Kbps), which is pretty good, but it depends really, the file in question had about 100 sources.

I'm just assuming its two Discs as the download is 1.039 GB, if its not well I guess its not goin on a CD? Does anyone know aout this? The download doesnt say its a zip or rar file... nor does it say its an CD image, I'm assuming it must be a rar archive with the extension removed, in wich case I'll attempt to open it through WinRAR...
