Gentlemen, I was SICK of playing arcade games with INFINITE COINS in the past (on PC emus), because you can very easily lose the interest on a game, as best as it could be, if you play with no care at all (aka infinite lives, energy, etc.).. so... I am just curious to see how you guys play - I mean - what is your "philosophy" while gaming? This is mine (and I follow it like a religion!) For some arcade games on Mameox and FBA-XXX: - I set the games on the EASY mode (for general games) or LEVEL2 (for Neo-Geo) - I turn off the CONTINUES - I absolutely use just ONE COIN to see how far I can go with it - Doing that I feel myself really playing to beat the game, to win the bosses, to learn the tricks, to master the thing Why I set the difficult on EASY? Because I don't have much time to play everyday and my collection of titles I really wish to play someday is huge - so there is no time to lose - things should move faster. Also, there are few other games that I do the following: - Easy mode - 3 coins (never more) for 3 continues - to make the game operate on a similar way like the good old titles from Sega Genesis, NES and Snes where we used to play only with three continues. And, for games where the SCORE DOES NOT RESET in the continue: - ONE COIN ever, if I lose, I stop playing That's it! And you, friends? Any comments?

I would recommend Castlevania (Akumajou Dracula) for MSX, but it has the same kind of scrolling type - this was a present feature on most of the plataform games on MSX. I like it, really. C.

By the way, I got a new neogeo.zip files from a friend with many BIOSes files inside and it was still missing UNI-BIOS.ROM, something like that. Then I opened the ZIP and duplicated a UNI-BIOS.22.ROM changing the name of the copy to UNI-BIOS.ROM and everything is working now. But few games that used to work fine on FBA 1.28 give me erros now, like for example Samurai Shodown 1. I really need to learn how to fix my roms using the DATs. I have no idea about that (yet). Hey guys, Tonight I was about to play some NeoGeo games on Kenshiro's FBA-XXX beta version and suddenly I found out that all games DOES NOT WORK - due to missing files in my NeoGeo.zip rom. Question - Is the Kenshiro's version using a new/more complete Neogeo.zip file? The file that comes with the full FBA-XXX romset available at BT-Sky does not work. Should I search for a new one or am I missing some trick on the Kenshiro's beta? Regards, Cospefogo.

Hell Yeah! KAMEN NO NINJA HANAMARU!! I used to play a lot this game too. It is the ORIGINAL version of the YoNoid game. I prefer the NINJA instead of the retard BUNNY MAN (sorry NES lovers... I stick with Famicoms all the time)! You all - shooter lovers - should get an account at UndergorundGaming and get a wonderful superb documentary about the creation of the Shmups that is available in the movies section over there. It is a full hour of images and interviews with the most hardcore people on the shooter worlds (all japanese people, of course). They also show the minds behind DonDonPachi and historic figures like the creator of the Space Invaders (japanese guy, of course) and his original pencil+paper roughs for the game. Moreover this program is FRENCH dubbed with ENGLISH subtitles. Cospefogo HIGHLY recommends while he drinks coffee at 06:30 AM. Cospefogo.

HELL YEAH. Filters should never been invented at all. I had this Street Fighter "1" game in my PC-Engine CD two years ago. Damn'it... It did play slow and sluggish. A very weird game in my opinion. Maybe the arcade version could run smoother? Eager for news. Cospefogo.

It's completed. I just finished to update my FBA-XXX skin. CLEAN, LITE and ergonomically HEALTHY. The item "PARENT" is out of place and it is not reachable through the normal SKIN XML coordinates. I have warned Kenshiro already and I am sure the bug will be fixed in the final release. Guys! I was about to create a new topic to ask for a question, but I think it could be done here. I am working on a update of my FBA-XXX skin and I am stuck on this: - I want to get rid of that buttons L/R NEXT/PREVIOUS SYSTEM (they are marked with a green arrow in my screenshot below) Of course I tried to comment this piece of code in the XML skin (the five occurences in the XML), but it not worked: (...) <previoussystem> <x>20</x> <y>15</y> <color>0xFFEEEEEE</color> </previoussystem> <nextsystem> <x>605</x> <y>15</y> <color>0xFFEEEEEE</color> </nextsystem> (...) And I tried to ERASE/REMOVE this chunk of code from the XML skin, but the two options keep showing there, at its default position (as on the default/bundle FBA skin) Any ideas? Cospefogo.
