Xfire 1.78 released

Release notes for 1.78 - July 12th, 2007
Revamped Xfire to work better on Windows Vista (because of UAC). On Vista:
* Most Xfire files are now placed in c:\programdata\xfire\.
* Xfire itself runs non-elevated for this one release.
* Xfire In-Game now works with most games that do not themselves run elevated.
* If set to run on system startup, Xfire now properly launches on startup.
* Multiple Windows users can use Xfire on the same machine successfully.
* See games disabled on Vista for more game details.
- The infoview of your friends will show their screenshots when they are in a game.
- Fixed several relatively uncommon crashes with Xfire In-Game and Call of Duty 2.
- Lots of bug fixes and improvements to the new Xfire In-Game interface, currently only enabled in the Dawn of War games, including scroll wheel support, page up/page down support, and much more.
- New games supported: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, Harry Potter - Quidditch World Cup (I can't wait for book 7!), Sword of the Stars - Born of Blood, Audition, DiRT, Tremulous, Enemy Territory - QUAKE Wars Beta, The Sims 2 H&M Fashion Stuff, The Sims Pet Stories, Overlord, Monster Madness - Battle for Suburbia, Lost Planet Extreme Condition.
Silent Hill V Announced for 360, PS3

Silent Hill V, the long-awaited fifth chapter in the survival- / atmospheric-horror series is officially in development for the XBOX 360 and PlayStation 3.
Well, ladies and gentlemen, we're sitting at said press conferencce right now, and the announcement is ... Silent Hill V (at least that's what we think it is). The game features a soldier home from a war who is searching for his missing son. As often seems to be the case, this missing person decides to the best place to run to is Silent Hill. Akira Yamaoka will return to provide a brand new mind-bending soundtrack. Konami promises more news to come.
Unfortunately, as with Silent Hill Origins for the PSP, the game will not be developed by the original creators as Team Silent has all but disbanded. Akira Yamaoka will be the only original staff member to return for Silent Hill V.
Sony announces new slimmer PSP with Video-Out!

Yep, it looks almost the same.
It's not quite the PSP 2 some might've hoped for, but Sony is giving its handheld console a serious refresh in the form of a slimmer, lighter and faster "updated" PSP. The new unit still includes the 4.3-inch LCD and UMD, but is 33 percent lighter, 19 percent slimmer, has sped up game load times and improved battery life. The only real "new" features is a video output capability to allow you to play your PSP games on a big screen TV. You can score one in September in the original Piano Black, a new Ice Silver color, and a Star Wars Battlefront special edition. The latter two PSPs come in $199 bundles with related games and a 1GB Memory Stick in the case of Ice Silver. More pics after the break.
