A bite-er so to speak I hope you didn't buy the game if you didn't like the XBOX version. I just had to start collecting dog tags all over again in the oroginal MGS, because I accidentally overwrited a wrong save. Edited October 14, 2004 by Agozer

Adel151 Posted October 17, 2004 Author Posted October 17, 2004 come join my army of x-box haters playstation 1 2 and eventually 3 will continue to dominate the masses
Prican25 Posted October 19, 2004 Posted October 19, 2004 XBOX version is better.<{POST_SNAPBACK}>wrong, xbox version has slowdown and cannot do the realtime effects that ps2 version does (eg; rain looks blocky; water has choppy look/effect), just read gamespot or even ign's review as they point it out clear (also gamefaqs, com as gamers make their reviews) also ps2's has the exclusive skateboarding snake extra which is ok for the first few times of playing it heh. the same thing also goes for even silent hill 2 even tho xbox's had the extra level and option to turn off noise effect but you can't ignore the slowdown in some levels that isn't in ps2's version (as a side note, konami rerelease the game on ps2 in europe and japan which is the same as xbox's but no slowdown).
Adel151 Posted October 19, 2004 Author Posted October 19, 2004 yeah ps2 is better so there 4 against 1 ps2 wins
LoRd_SnOw Posted October 19, 2004 Posted October 19, 2004 (edited) if you've ever played MGS substance for xbox you can also notice raidens hair it has black edges which im guessing could be the Nvidia card that the console has. now thats just hair imagine levels like project gothem where you may see white edges at certain spots in first person mode. lets just face it xbox is not perfect even though i own one but i mainly use it for emulators as it is more aless like a pc. so i guess i do like xbox for the emulators not much for gameplay. hopefully i'll buy halo 2 and see how much the consoles graphics can produce. it has its upsides and downsides but lets face it gameplay is not one of the things its good at. Agozer Posted October 19, 2004 Posted October 19, 2004 You can turn off the noise filter in Silent Hill 2 PS2 version too; the option is just hidden... same with SH3 (and SH4 I suppose).
