Captain FuKu Posted September 16, 2004 Author Posted September 16, 2004 I know that, but since the crash, I recovered most of everything else *except* for windows media player for whatever reason.
Captain FuKu Posted September 16, 2004 Author Posted September 16, 2004 Okay, to be more specific, whenever I use the Windows Media setup application, it'll try to install the components or whatever and it'll get an error message like halfway through the download. Oh...and I always chose the "reinstall all components" option and not the "upgrade newer components only." Yeah, sagfjdwaoiwe atjowakalksa
random guy Posted September 16, 2004 Posted September 16, 2004 I see... so I could burn these files using Windows Media. Anyone know if you can download the Windows Media Player for free and if they contain spyware or not? The reason I'm asking is that since my computer crashed a few months back, I lost the Media Player and now I just use DivX Player. Thanks for any help/pointers.I wouldn't recommend it because a friend of mine burned me a cd using WMP once and I couldn't play it on my computer because WMP automatically put DRM on the CD. Lol acronym attack.
Agozer Posted September 16, 2004 Posted September 16, 2004 I don't even use WMP on my PC to open WMAs, MP3s, AVIs, and MPEGs. BSP all the way. Lollers, acronym madness.

Weirdy Posted September 16, 2004 Posted September 16, 2004 I use winamp pro as well. My favorite DSP plug in = simply surround it makes everything sound.....freakin' amazing , try it though for videos I use Media Player Classic cause it's so simple
Gryph Posted September 16, 2004 Posted September 16, 2004 BSPlayer is the best. I never use Winamp to play videos, I always thought there was something fundametally wrong with it. But I'll try out that Simply Surround plugin.
Wizard Posted September 16, 2004 Posted September 16, 2004 I just turn up the volume really really loud since I got 4.1. There used to be a way to tweak you're winamp to play it all on seperate channels.
shin_nihon_kikaku Posted September 16, 2004 Posted September 16, 2004 Or WMP10 now. Thanks Gryphon, I didn't know version 10 was available until I read this. I downloaded it minutes after I read your post.
Gryph Posted September 16, 2004 Posted September 16, 2004 Hey Weird, Simply Surround rules. Thanks very much for that bit of info.
montpics Posted September 18, 2004 Posted September 18, 2004 Nah, use Winamp 2.95. Older version better!
Agozer Posted September 18, 2004 Posted September 18, 2004 Nah, use Winamp 2.95. Older version better! It's doesn't really matter. Winamp 3 was shite, but had a few awesome features. Winamp 5 combines the awesomeness of 2 and 3. == Über greatness
