When i first got KOF 2003 to work in Kawaks 1.48dev back in April, i used a ROM patch that was found on this website StriderSkorpion gave me (from this thread). The URL is: http://kof2003fix.cjb.net/ Anyhow, the guy writing here says that the neogeo does not have any transparencies in the real (MVS arcade) version of kof2003 and that the ROM transparencies are more of a hack. Is this true? In any case, i think the kawaks transparency patch is found there.
James Posted July 21, 2004 Posted July 21, 2004 (edited) There is allready proof that there was transparencies in the MVS cart....... http://www.1emulation.com/forums/index.php...t=10#entry74262 Also Mame has allways had transparencies considering the transparencies is allready in the 512k (Normally it comes from the C roms) rom Nebula and Kawaks need the correct fix key to make it work.Which means the code may not be in the offical emulators Mame has the code allready there which is this. neogeo_fix_bank_type = 2;For FBA it is this HARDWARE_SNK_ALTERNATE_TEXT so that tells me Mame and FBA have allways supported the 512k S rom.and it is not that rom is any differnt than the other S roms apart from the fact it is 512 which makes it harder for nebula kakwaks NRX to work properly. pyro Posted July 21, 2004 Author Posted July 21, 2004 dude... the transpericies in the life bar are there.. dont have an arcade near ur place which has kof2k3.. i have 2 that i got o almost every weekend.. and in both the arcades the life bars have the transpericies.. thats why the rom is bootleg
