is there like...a program or something to re-encode jpg's or gif's into icons

 

cause I wanna change a jpg into.ico w/out using command line but it won't work like that

don't have a link, but look for a program called Bitmap to Icon 3.5

NO The Best Program Is IrfanView. I Have Made Many Icons For My Cd's And Shortcuts And Countless Others. I Encoded My Sig And Aviator With, Like When My Sig Was To Big. And After The Plugins It's The Best Image Viewer EVER!

 

 

(The Only Problem Is That It Can't Save And Make Moving.Gif Files)

does that program converts jpg and gif images to icons or you have to convert them to BMP first?

Just Checked It Out And, Nope Just From BMP To.ICO

 

IrFranView Can Do: Most Image Types To.ICO

I think MicroAngelo has support for creating/editing icon files.  All else fails, just grab MS Visual Studio.  You can create icons within the resource editor.  Of course that's the complicated method.

Dude, Microangelo was originally created solely for that purpose. :P
