my comp recently got fried and I'm getting things back together. I have the SITwulf loader of kawaks, but it doesn't have all the dats on the main dat that I had before i lost it. could somebody please post the metal slug 5 dat? I'd appreciate it. thanks.

sorry 2 be a pain in the ass but what would i do to modify it... uh... my copy of the rom is all graphical blitter, but it plays.

Post the crc values of your roms (Open your zip in winrar, one of the colums should be crc)

You need the MS5 encrypted to play MS5nd version if I recall.

wait a sec how do I find the CRC? I unzipped it and opened the rom in notepad, I'm gonna assume that won't help, lol.

Most compression programs let you see the CRCs for all the files inside an arcive if you just enable that column in the preferences.

why does yours have fix C ?

the weird thing is that the DAT K'dash posted seems to use the original scrambled P1 too. maybe thats the fix required for MS5, im going to try that DAT.

It's strange, i have the original romset(which was the mame version, and appeared messed up in Kawaks) and this fully decrypted set, which doesn't have the scrambled graphics.
