Agozer Posted August 13, 2004 Author Posted August 13, 2004 anyone got a release date yet i cant wait for them to release final zinc, waiting for them to pull off a big surprise like TTT i am dreaming too much.Nope, no release date yet. DynaChicken certainly doesn't rush things.
SpyderX Posted August 14, 2004 Posted August 14, 2004 i hope they take there time, we want a good final product at the end anyway
Weirdy Posted August 15, 2004 Posted August 15, 2004 (edited) i hope they take there time, we want a good final product at the end anyway that's most likely why it's taking long. Especially to add in new games that work perfectly Edited August 15, 2004 by Weirdanzeige
Agozer Posted August 15, 2004 Author Posted August 15, 2004 why are they ending the project anyway I don't know. It's just the Muppet Team's choice I guess.
Weirdy Posted August 15, 2004 Posted August 15, 2004 (edited) why are they ending the project anyway I heard the main programmer is abonding emulation and computers completely and is going out to New Zealand to become a sheep farmer or something ...and he is planning on keeping the emulator close source Edited August 15, 2004 by Weirdanzeige
Agozer Posted August 15, 2004 Author Posted August 15, 2004 why are they ending the project anyway <_>I heard the main programmer is abonding emulation and computers completely and is going out to New Zealand to become a sheep farmer or something ...and he is planning on keeping the emulator close source Yes this is true. ZiNc won't be open-source and DynaChicken will move to New Zealand (I don't know about the sheep farmer thing though.)
SpyderX Posted August 17, 2004 Posted August 17, 2004 why doesnt he make it open source, i am sure someone else can take it up and improve on it. selfish bastard
wacko_jacko Posted August 17, 2004 Posted August 17, 2004 why doesnt he make it open source, i am sure someone else can take it up and improve on it. selfish bastard Probably because he takes great pride with his programming skills and doesn't want people modifying his work and taking all the credit. It really is sad the the final itteration of Zinc will be upon us (who knows when though), but as long as it's good, I don't really mind.
SpyderX Posted August 18, 2004 Posted August 18, 2004 i still think he should give the source to emulation coders, i know i would.
Agozer Posted August 18, 2004 Author Posted August 18, 2004 i still think he should give the source to emulation coders, i know i would. MOST of us probably would. Meh, it's their decision, we just have to live with it.
SpyderX Posted August 19, 2004 Posted August 19, 2004 if we find someone to improve on it, do u think we can pay chickenhead to sell it
TRAY Posted November 8, 2004 Posted November 8, 2004 How does Zinc work? I tried it one time on my Pentium 4 2.00 GHz 256 MB RAM intern but it did not work...whats the deal?
