Gryph Posted April 14, 2004 Posted April 14, 2004 I haven't played much of the Single Player yet. I'm still enjoying Instant Action a lot. I guess I should beat it while I'm on break...

I guess I should beat it while I'm on break...You sound the kind of person that doesn't like setting many settings and such. (apart from the mandatory ones. You simply want to get into the game. I'm an settings buff myself.

Damn all you right handers and your WASD crap. And then I set the crosshairs. Every setting is checked by me and evaluated for maximum performance. Then I dive into the game.
Gryph Posted April 14, 2004 Posted April 14, 2004 (edited) Uhh, theres a single player ? WTF?Yeah, its a tournament with bots. They try to add a sort of plot by using established teams and these intros but I don't think anyone really cares about the plot. I know I don't. I just want to destroy the other team. I'm left handed so I use the arrow keys and other keys around it like the number pad, the six keys above the arrow keys, shift for jump, right ctrl for crouch.
the mystical fighter Posted April 15, 2004 Author Posted April 15, 2004 wow, those do sound hard, have you considered having a left handed mouse or do you already have one?
Gryph Posted April 15, 2004 Posted April 15, 2004 (edited) wow, those do sound hard, have you considered having a left handed mouse or do you already have one?Harsh? Just because its different doesn't mean its harsh. It's very comfortable. I've been playing FPS games since before WASD was ever considered. Back when the arrow keys were used and the mouse was useless. And my mouse is uni-handed. Edited April 15, 2004 by GryphonKlaw
Agozer Posted April 15, 2004 Posted April 15, 2004 (edited) Easy controls settings for you....I'm left-handed. I use the numpad and mouse for movement. Edited April 15, 2004 by Agozer
Gryph Posted April 15, 2004 Posted April 15, 2004 I tried using the number pad but my fingers just didn't feel right in there. But I might switch to that when games need more and more buttons.
the mystical fighter Posted April 15, 2004 Author Posted April 15, 2004 yeah, there most will be a game when you need ALL the buttons on the keyboard... phew lots of work to do there
