Epsxe : No Sound

Recommended Posts

Sup,

For some strange reason I get no sound in the emulator, the video is fine. I thought maybe its a prob with my comp but it ain't since every other emulator works fine (VGS included). I tried default and different plugins but no luck.

Thanks in advance,

P.S Anybody know where I can get a compatibility list for this emu?

Could you please explain it detail if you want to ask for our help? Especially what game, plugin u currently used.

Normally, not all game can be played through CVGS or EPSXE. Mostly I used Eternal SPU plugin and Pete's Plugin for sound.

Eternal SPU and Pete's plugins are the ones I tried there and had no luck. These games worked before I formatted my computer fine (I tried Castlevania SOTN and Final Fantasy Tactics).

What do you mean by no sound plugins installed? For the emu or the computer?

Try the built in sound plugin for it and see if that works. youve already tried the two "best" plugins, so all ic an offer is to try the built in sound plugin.

What are your specs?

IMO, I think Pete's plugins are best...are you having problems with FMV's/CG's not having sound? Make sure your XA is enabled IF that's the case.

I Say You Should Use "ePSXe SPU core 1.5.2", I've Been Using That Ever Since I Got ePSXe. The Sound For Me Is Pretty Good. And Theres No Config.
