Agozer Posted November 19, 2009 Author Posted November 19, 2009 Neato. Now, come on Tales of Vesperia PS3...
Devia Eleven Posted November 24, 2009 Posted November 24, 2009 The Slim is a good deal, I bought it and now I'm nearly addicted to it, there's just a lot of games for it that have come out over the years that I never got to play previously. MGS4 and Killzone 2 are keeping me interested. It can do many things the 360 cannot, and those things in particular, include, data transfer.
L.S.D Posted November 24, 2009 Posted November 24, 2009 I am hooked to AC II and GOW Collection at the moment. GOW Collection is done right. If devs want to port their PS2 games to PS3, they should go GOW route. i will gladly shell out my hard earned cash to get it if i really like the game. As i speak, this game is practically sold out in every part of my country, where stocks that came in were sold out in one day. And game shops are having a hard time trying to stock up the games as the demand is too high.
Agozer Posted November 24, 2009 Author Posted November 24, 2009 Are the improvements apparent in screenshots or are they of such nature that you need to see the games in motion to truly see the difference?
L.S.D Posted November 24, 2009 Posted November 24, 2009 The graphic look much better in every aspect, shown at true 720p at 60fps. The bummer is in-game cutscenes are shown at 480p, so you will see the difference immediately. The enhancement in in-game graphics is so huge that, those that never seen GOW before might think it is a new game. Recommended if you love GOW and GOW II.
Agozer Posted November 25, 2009 Author Posted November 25, 2009 It seems that this is yet another collection that only gets a release in the US, at least as far as GameFAQs is to be believed. Not that it really matters when the games are region free, but it still irks me.
2eyez Posted November 25, 2009 Posted November 25, 2009 I wouldn't buy it for 40 bucks but maybe 30 though. I got it for PS2 already. Anyways, a PS3 is great, don't buy Assasins Creed.

Agozer Posted November 27, 2009 Author Posted November 27, 2009 Well, I got my beautiful PS3 Slim 250 today. Works fine with HDMI, although it's strange that a Sony Bravia TV doesn't detect a PS3 making it impossible to use any of the additional features HDMI has to offer - a very common problem, it seems. Putting off gaming until the controller is fully charged (the USB cable is pathetically short).
Agozer Posted November 28, 2009 Author Posted November 28, 2009 Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Devil May Cry 4, Prince of Persia. MGS4 comes in the mail on Monday or Tuesday.Haven't tried Ninja Gaiden yet, but loving Prince of Persia and DMC4. It's great that you can turn on/off the console with the controller. The SIXAXIS is a bit of a gimmick, but it's kinda neat still.
Devia Eleven Posted November 28, 2009 Posted November 28, 2009 Not a bad catalog, I still haven't played Ninja Gaiden Sigma, although I do have Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2. Haven't played Prince of Persia, but have beaten DMC4, hence my review. MGS4 is outstanding, the first game I purchased when I got my slim. Have you heard of any of the earlier RPGs for the PS3? Like Valkyria Chronicles, Disgaea 3, or Demon Souls?
Agozer Posted November 29, 2009 Author Posted November 29, 2009 Oh yes, I've definitely heard of them. Just don't have the financial means to get them at the moment. As far as Ninja Gaiden Sigma goes, it's definitely Nintendo Hard, but that's balanced by the fact that it is a damn fine ninja game. P.S. Just lost to Berial in DMC4. Also, I don't quite understand how Exceed moves work. Too lazy to go to GameFAQs just for that.

When the flame around its body dies out, grab him to see some awesome combos that deal a crap load of damages. DMC4 is fun but I can go through one time only You didn't get any of the newer games? But it seems like you have a lot of next-gen games to catch up Go get Fallout 3 GOTY, Oblivion GOTY, Siren, RE5, AC2, GOW Collection.
