PS3 controllers to vibrate?

In light of Sony's recent agreement with Immersion, it appears that the two companies have now joined forces. Victor Viegas of Immersion had this to say about their newfound business agreement, "Our new business agreement with Sony Computer Entertainment is specifically intended to enable advanced vibration capability for the benefit of the PlayStation gaming community".

It's unknown as to what product the vibration capability will be used in, but clearly force-feedback for the PS3 Sixaxis controller is now in the cards as long as Sony gives the go-ahead.

I say it's about damn time. :thumbsup1: Not including a vibration function in the controller to begin with was really stupid, IMO.

About time Sony caved in. Still, Immersions "patent" on vibration technology is retarded.

So yeah, PS3 might finally get vibrating controllers. Something is just missing if there's no vibration.

Well sounds cool, but im not very fond of the PS3 Controller since when the Battery Dies as Most Rechargable Batteries do, Supposedly You cannot change the Batteries and must Replace the Entire Controller.

Couldn't give a rats ass for the overpriced forced blu-ray player, but this is entirely untrue. You can open the controller and replace the battery, and there are 3rd party batteries already available.

Also, from what Sony has said the battery has a considerably long lifespan.
