Hey so yeah i got Mario Kart DS for christmas today (yay) well, actually my little brother did, but anyway, I dont really know how the whole online metting people is (Friend IDs? WTF?) But who wants to play me online in Mario Kart!?!!?

 

I just enter friend IDs whenever i want to find people? I dunno i havent really messed with it too much, i just found the mac address, added it to my router, and ive been playing with random people.

I assume you have access to Wifi to play online. I'm planning on picking up a Linksys Wireless Router for 9 bucks and I'll be playing in no time.

Hey well i was sucking because Wario Sucks, im not that bad with Mario, and w00t Choco Mountain from the N64 is back!!!

 

Yeah im using a Linksys WRT54GS, I have a Linksys BEFW11S4 too, but i use that just for sharing a wired connection into my Xbox/PS2/etc.

I just so happen to have a DS and access to a WiFi connection. All I have to do now is buy the game and I'll be joining everyone else online.

Exactly, what's the point of having five or six threads about the same thing just because the others died out for a while? Besides, all you guys are doing is going off topic. So what if I'm reserecting it, at least I'm looking at what threads are availible insead of spamming it with 2 or 3 threads that are the exact same thing as what has already been posted in the past.

 

Anyway (trying to get this thread back on topic), how are the controls in this version of Mario Kart. I've heard that they are a bit harder then on the N64 version and judging by the first posts here I'm guessing that might be true. Is it because the game has changed from the N64 version or just because you don't have the luxury of the joystick?
