SausageBoy Posted October 4, 2005 Posted October 4, 2005 If a reasonable way of scrolling could be implemented, such as the touch screen being a small preview of the site, and you could move around with that, it would work. We could also draw to a larger framebuffer, and hardware scale down to a suitable size. I have no idea how the quality of that is though.
death_entry Posted October 4, 2005 Posted October 4, 2005 I just hope the text entry system is better then the one on the psp, man that sucks.
Dudu.exe Posted October 5, 2005 Posted October 5, 2005 i was looking some webpages on my cell phone (siemens mc60) the resolution of the screen sucks but worked well, it just resize the images to fit on screen and shot all the text.. and the reading is great.. i guess a Xhtml browser on DS should work amazing!
tssf Posted October 5, 2005 Posted October 5, 2005 (edited) I actually really like Zed0's mock-up concept over from the dslinux boards: http://www.falconers.eclipse.co.uk/LinuxMock.jpg The whole having a scaled view up on the top screen, then have an unscaled view on the bottom would be a neat idea.. and maybe you can zoom in and out using alpha-lerp's scaling method with pocketnes's flickering method for the opposite end. That would be incredible.. (You know, nesDS's scaling method would be really neat) EDIT: of course, the whole scrolling through the webpage with the stylus would work better with the screens swapped a little..then you could use the D pad to scroll more precisely.
