Diso Posted February 17, 2005 Posted February 17, 2005 GBA Is still going. A lot of good games have been released for it that it will probably live longer for about a year or two
NeoMaster Posted February 17, 2005 Author Posted February 17, 2005 I agree with you. The GBA SP has a huge install base so that system dying in the next year or so isn't too likely.
Diso Posted February 17, 2005 Posted February 17, 2005 Besides, as mentioned before in the thread. The lineup for DS Games aren't very good as expected with all new consoles...(With the exception of N64 and PSX cause they had Goldeneye and FF7 released pretty early). So People will most likely not buy the DS for a while until better games come out or something like that.
Darken Posted February 17, 2005 Posted February 17, 2005 With all this Games release..... I think it will go on for more than just 2 years
Z-Neo Posted February 18, 2005 Posted February 18, 2005 With a GBA SP only being 70-80 bucks, and a large amount of people already owning one, they may not want to go out and buy another handheld just yet, at twice the price. I think nintendo 3rd party GBA developers will keep making games for at least a year, until they see how well the DS is selling.
xeno Posted February 21, 2005 Posted February 21, 2005 (edited) To be honest I think (and hope) nintendo will just keep releasing gba games, I have yet to see a title that will make me buy a DS or PSP Â I'll get a DS tho when a new zelda game is released, or a new mario game (I dont like mario64 ) Edited February 21, 2005 by xeno
Shibathedog Posted February 22, 2005 Posted February 22, 2005 Nintendo has stated that they dont want to kill the GBA and they want the DS and the GBA to co-exist... Sounds like bull considering the DS plays GBA games....
Wizard Posted February 22, 2005 Posted February 22, 2005 Thats the thing. It ONLY playes GBA games and new DS games.
Shibathedog Posted February 22, 2005 Posted February 22, 2005 I heard of some adaptor to get it to play the older games, but it could have been a rumour i dunno.
Wizard Posted February 22, 2005 Posted February 22, 2005 Thru proper emulation, then it might be possible to play older GB games on it. But it can't because it's missing the old chip used for the GB games.
L.S.D Posted February 22, 2005 Posted February 22, 2005 i just finish Megaman Zero 3. Great stuff.I think I'll replay the trilogy again, trying to unlock 100%
L.S.D Posted February 22, 2005 Posted February 22, 2005 Bet you can't wait for number 4?<{POST_SNAPBACK}>Oh yeah.I must say the series is a saving grace for the Megaman series, which seems to go downhill after MMX4. You just can't fight Sigma all the time!!!! At least, the boss in MMZ series are different always. And refreshing. And great storyline. Great weapons. Ahh....I could go on
