Doom 3 running on Voodoo 2

Just check this. sure, it looks like a 1st generation 3D accelerated game, but it runs full speed.

Aside that it looks worse than quake 2, that is impressive for a voodoo2 and I gotta tell ya it sure looks like alot of fun

Anyway this is really cool. But I remember Carmack saying that they ripped stuff to allow that out of the console so people wouldn't use it to cheat in multiplayer.

Yeah, that's what I figured he meant. And it would make sense too seeing as how dark doom 3 is.

That and the speed boost. In Quake 3, lots of players used the command to basically strip the game down to bare polygons to get the maximum performance for that extra edge.

the first aftermarket gfx card I ever got was a voodoo 3 2000, that's actually pretty cool. looks like crap...but pretty cool for those darkages voodoo hangers-on.

The 3D card I have on my machine is one of the first 3D accelerator cards ever. RealVision Flash 3D sporting a Voodoo 1 chipset.

I got mine mostly free. I traded in like 10 old psx games after my psx broke. man I remember feeling like my pc was hot then.....lol

will this work with other cards? because with all the old PCs i have lying around this could be like ub3r lan party haha (theres a patch to get around the 4 players thing somwhere too)
