I have no idea how to get SF3 Akuma. Perhaps you could gain the next one coming out by assisting the creator in cleaning some sprites. He made a SF3 Akuma once but was not pleased with the color outcome do to primitive ways of ripping at the time. 2D fighters. Why try to fix what is not broken? 3D fighters always try to make everything overly complicated. And after all these years of playing games I am lazy and do not want to have to spend long learning a billion techniques for these crappy slow 3d fighters. Toshinden and MK5 are the best 3d fighters. I wish they would make a new Toshinden, one with actual speed. Tekken is far too repetitive in it's fighting system. Basically I just have fun playing 2D fighters. I don't care about CG, realism, FPS, or learning ultra new ways to do the same thing every other game does. I want fun and 2D fighters never fail in that department run in and start clobbering with your biggest combo, they won't sidestep and throw you and you won't get any ring outs. And stuff from BGs has a nack for getting in the way in 3d and control is not as tight and characters just don't seem as well designed. I could go on forever but 3d in general I don't believe improves any game, just makes them cheaper to make and gets oohs and ohhs from the masses. If I want special effects I will watch a movie. They ruined Mario, they ruined the Mega Man X series, they ruined Sonic, the castlevania games, nomore final fight or TMNT4 turtles in time type games and fighters are all the 2d that is left [/rant]

No more news Elecbyte isn't much for letting everyone know what is up It just excited me to see that they are taking donations again and that they renewed there website. 2 very good signs the project is still going. The last message they made before there site went down was that they had hit a snag. I figure that was the beta leak but I am not sure. Hopefully this time they won't give betas to donators.

I voted Capcom even though currently SNK is my favorite company because they still make fighting games. I still prefer playing Street Fighter and Darkstalkers over SNK's games.

Windows Configurator is not good IMO. Since it can mess up many screenpacks. Also you cannot use it to add in new life bars. That is done via the data folder and system.def. Most of the time when you DL a new life bar set it comes with instructions to install. I have only characters I intend to make for my game SFvsDS downloaded. That would be 44 characters. All 18 DS characters and 18 SF Ryu, Ken, Akuma, ChunLi, Guile, Balrog, Vega, Sagat, Bison, Blanka, Fei Long, Rose, Sakura, Cammy, DeeJay, Dhalsim, Zangief, and Adon. 6 extras for fun SpiderMan, Venom, Juggernaut, CCommando, MegaMan, and Guy. 2 bosses Geese Howard and Shao Kahn And of course Evil Ken and Evil Ryu which I won't make and increases the total to 46.

I have no idea. XP is iffy, for some it works and for some it does not. You could try running it in pure Dos. Or try running the Linux version in Knoppix. Or do as I did and have Windows ME, XP, and Linux in partitions. BTW Mugen does not work for me in XP either =P ME and Linux it is fine.

I am making a fighting game. Combining my two favorites Street Fighter and Darkstalkers. ^^ That's why I like mugen.

There was a PS1 release of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. And Jill and Cable were not made from DVD ripping. They were made from a normal PC capture device. DVD ripping is extremely good if you have a RGB connector.

Well for what I want it for I just want the best quality I can get for short segments. As I will use it to record from DC and PS2 games so I can rip 95% perfect sprites from them. So record times will not be long.

Well I bought a DVD+R/RW long ago and have many copied movies on that format. So I would hope to still be able to watch them on this Ahem, please give me more credit than that. Would anybody know of a reliable DVD recorder I can get that has the following features... Very High quality recording, RGB Scart in, record to HD, record and play DVD+R/RW... I have googled for something that has all of this for hours and found nothing. I figure some UK folks may have the most luck informing me of this. If there was a Component cord for Dreamcast it would be much easier

Out of curiosity why would you want characters for those older versions of mugen? Anyway I do not know any sites that have older characters like that. Most of the time they are either taken down or updated.
