  1. It's what I refer to when a company makes a game and instead of actually making a good game they make the graphics shiny and fool the Idiot Crowd into thinking that those are the most amazing graphics in the world. I blame the unsuccessfulness of Nintendo on PS2 fans. The reason being is because as the Gamecube just started launching, I remember walking into Gamestop or EB Games and hearing these morons standing at the Gamecube section and blasting each and every game as being kiddy. Remember Resident Evil? That too was claimed to be kiddy. To my point, the Idiot Crowd (Who can't decide a damn thing for themselves.) listens to these PS2 fanboys and decide to join in the blasting and refusal to buy Nintendo products. I give you, PS2 fanboys, the middle finger salute (In no way am I bashing the PS2, just the fans.). <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Very good points, and I remember seeing the "Idiot Crowd" over here as well. Now, for the record, I am a PS2 fan, not a fanboy. I acknowledge the good points in the GC and it's games, and the games are far from being kiddy. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> While GC's games are far from being kiddy, Nintendo made great marketing efforts to make the GC look like the "best console for kids". That's also part of what fooled the "Idiot crowd" into thinking the GC's games are kiddy. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I think it has a lot to do with the Mario factor. The fact that Nintendo is the only company that owns him (unlike Sonic who has been shared between Sega and Nintendo) means that a lot of people see Nintendo and think Mario, and label the whole system kiddy. A great injustice to this awesome system. And for the record, I don't know what everyone's problem is with the controller. I think it's great and I have bigger hands than most people. Buttons aren't awkward at all, I find them intuitive, easy to get the hang of. Its one weakness is possibly the Z-button, and it's not used much anyway.
  2. Does this mean we can avoid the whole convoluted process involving PSO and the wireless GC modem? Can I get it straight from my DVD-ROM drive? And what about if I want to back my GC disc up? Since they are supposed to be there if the original is damaged, how would I get a disc compatible with GC to re-burn it on?
  3. yah yah all this is fine but how r u supposed to get the files off the discs if they r so small? Wouldn't they slip off when spinning inside or something? Or is there actually somewhere I can get GC ROMs? Where? SOMEBODY HELP MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!
  4. I don't mean to be annoying with all these problems on the forum, but I need help seeing as I have no idea what I'm doing... I finally got a version of Yoshi's Story that 1964 says is "playable". However, when I start playing a level, everything is blank except for Yoshi, blocks, fruits, and enemies. I can still play, though (I even beat the first level this way!), so I have no idea what the problem is. When I try playing it on PJ64 it gives me an error message saying: "Unable to detect microcode settings microcode: $E0A6C030 ROM Image: YOSHI'S STORY" and then it asks me if it wants me to change config settings for it. How do I solve this problem? File name is "Yoshi's Story (E) [b2]"
  5. Thanx guyz, I'm switching to 1964 for anything that doesn't work on Project64. Kinda sux tho, I had no idea PJ64 was so substandard when I downloaded it. O well...
  6. For some reason, whenever I play my Paper Mario ROM it is almost always flickering! GoodN64 says it's compatible though. I wonder if maybe i need some plugins to help it run better? Could anyone help me with this problem?
  7. ya, i guess u r right, 1emu is not the place. But some1 should start this up somewhere else, if it already hasn't been. I don't know how to design that kind of a site, though. I would if i could.
  8. Actually, a number of them have actually been passed in various states, so it's only a matter of time b4 some1 takes it to the next level. Why can't that be us? EDIT: Oops, sry for the double "actually"
  9. ya screw all u }{ @ t 0 l2 Z out there it's a great series, but i was wondering wat u guys think is the second series better or the first? Second series plays the intro in English, first in Japanese (both by same people)
  10. Listen, I just had an idea... if every1 feels as strongly about it as it looks by looking at the posts, then we could set up a petition in this forum and every1 could vote on it. You need 2,000 votes to get a petition into Congress, but I think this site has plenty more members than that, right? I'm not exactly a lawyer or something, so anyone who would know more about how the petition would be drafted might want to write up a rough draft to see how many people it attracts. We could take suggestions on amendments and so forth, too. If we get 2,000 signatures we could conceivably send it to Congress and they would have to try to pass it. I'm only 14, so I guess this only works for you adults out there. *grumbles about waiting 4 more years*
  11. Nope, it says "Bad ROM? Run GoodN64 & Check for updated INI". I ran goodN64 and it didn't fix anything, YS still doesn't work. I checked for INIs too, but no luck there either.
  12. Thing is, I can't find a decent Yoshi's Story ROM anywhere. I was wondering if there was a way to "fix" the file so I could use it. Because I am NOT going to spend another 2 hours looking for another ROM. P.S. If anyone wanted to just give me one that worked, I would be fine with that too. My email is thereisnospoon@netcitytw.com NOTE: This is not really a ROM request, because I would prefer my existing one to be fixed instead.
  13. I got this ROM for Yoshi's Story off of a french website and whenever I play it Project64 gives me this message: "Unhandled R4300i OpCode at: 802800ECteq r0, a0 Stoping Emulation!" What is this supposed to mean and how do I fix it? P.S. If it helps any the name of the file is "Yoshi's Story (u) [f1].v64" I know that the part between the brackets should be an exclamation mark instead of "f1", could this be the problem?
