When I tried to download the new 32 and 64 bit 7z files with an older browser, it wanted to download .man files instead. Works ok on a newer browser.

This was reverted, making another 135 files that are not in step with MAME, in addition to the 221 (or whatever it was) from last month.

My 3rd shot isn't due until April, but I'll get it either this month or next. I don't care which vaccine. I only go out when I have to (shopping mostly) and use the mask. Here at least, if you catch covid you're 25 times more likely to end up in intensive care if you're unvaxxed. I don't understand the anti-vax crowd, but if they want to die a horrible death, that's up to them. Eventually they will be gone due to their own actions.

MESS, MESSUI and MAMEUI 0.240 are released. https://messui.1emulation.com/ https://arcade.mameworld.info/messui Please note that a new bug was noticed just as I was about to upload the new versions. If you enter rubbish via the command line, it will freeze. For example, trying to run a non-existing game might give an error-message box and then hang, or it might do nothing at all. I don't know when this started, but I assume something changed in MAME. As you might (or might not) know, before MESS and MAME were merged, MESS was a separate project, and both MESS and MESSUI were officially supported products. In order for certain things in MESSUI to work, support was included in MESS. When all this was merged with MAME, that winui support came across too. Unfortunately, certain devs are either ignorant of apparently unused functions, or don't care, and have been busily ripping out support in the name of pointless refactoring. One such case occurred this month when the entire support of software was ripped out, involving over 200 files. I had to revert this change for our builds, which means it is no longer possible for you to compile by patching the MAME source. You must now pull to the tag. I am unsure how much longer our builds will be able to work against current MAME in the future. I'd give it a year or two at most. Just keeping you people in the loop.
