  1. 1. I'd expect that, it being a DS emulator and all. I'm kinda the exception, with a GBA core.3. You seem implicity annoyed about that Close thing. Don't worry, I'll get on it at some point Even with the new X/Y buttons? (I think DM has those do something with Tetris, but I'm not sure.)
  2. Yeah, it nails me to the wall on Thumb, basically. And I have plenty of depth rendering issues, like not having any polygons to depth-differentiate. Basically, it's overall ahead.
  3. Indeed. It was, in fact, unplugged. It's on an external USB caddy, and something happened to make it fall out; when it reconnected, it appeared as another scsi host, which didn't get mounted. Love it. zid: Wipe your first post if you can, btw. Duplication is nevar good.
  4. Nah, I apologise for not realising that sarcasm doesn't always travel online. Do remember that I'm not quite the most sarcastic person alive, but close. Sure, emulators in general do have such things. Of course, SOME don't. Not mentioning my own name or anything. (Does this count as straying off the topic of the thread, btw?)
  5. Where you get all these demos from I'll never know. Great to see some working stuff though. There is a lot of flicker, and some things go missing half the time. I think it is an issue with buffers, dunno where. It'll have to be investigated. Did you upload all the images to your cable space, btw? That'd explain the missing imgs. Another edit: A hundred posts. Who'da thought that day would roll around.
  6. Well, you'd be wrong there, Fed. I am just being farking lazy. I've got a hold of a GPU core though, thanks to gladius, and I intend to check that out today.
  7. I sincerely hope Vile remembered his domain expiration date.
  8. It's impossible for someone to do that, at least in my case. I own old backups of DSemu, on non-rewriteable timestamped CDR, with my name all over the source and a BSD licence next to them. If someone wants to dispute copyright on those, have fun. And I'm guessing mic makes regular backups too, which he can use for just the same purpose.
  9. Private beta? You know I don't do private betas; anything I do is zipped up and released. I'm not ready to CVS commit this lot yet, but it's all in the zip. As for the 3 demos, could you give me some filenames? The TwoPlayer binary of Tetris included with the zip definitely works. I know there's a difference between that and DesktopMan's March 7th release. Which touchscreen test are you using? I fired up one by a guy called davr, that draws green lines to join touched coordinates; seems to work fine. There are core bugs that prevent joat's touch and DM's calc from working, so davr's demo is probably the best confirmation you'll get so far. And I believe ARMwrestler DS exhibits plenty of core and GPU bugs; Wrestler GBA does the same tests, and the cores I use are the same between GBA and DS, so you can test the CPU that way. Thanks for testing these ROMs out though, and highlighting the issues. I'll see if I can't get it sorted.
  10. Fine, fine, fine. I'll change that one value in the INI file right now. I've been getting tens of complaints about this
  11. Thanking you, sir, but mic does take on board suggestions and ideas from anyone; it just so happens that he's not around to take them much of the time. It's more a design choice than anything that I've got GBA and DS cores; the DS being merely a superset of GBA technology, it just makes sense to develop a GBA first. Of course, both Firefly and mic have done that a long time ago, so they have a headstart on this.
  12. Not propagated? You must live in a dns backwater or something. I could hit it from shells in Sweden and the US within seconds of starting the named with a new zone, as could a fair number of people. Of course, there are the few who still aren't resolving it, but it'll spread to the leaves of the dns tree eventually.
  13. It being a DS emulator, that doesn't particularly surprise me, sir.
  14. I broek it. Dunno what I broke, either; I'll have to check it out. That, or pull out an old core and shove that in.
  15. Strange. I dunno how you manage to catch the releases at inopportune times, like when the exe is being recompiled, or something. Anyway, I've repackaged the zip; it's all in there now.
  16. May I refer you to the following post regarding compilation of the project. CVS Server: post 15
  17. Yeah, he's been having immense fun. His ARM9's got full caching, and of course he has a working GPU; never mind the touchscreen. Kicks my arse into next week
  18. So it crashes. It's pre-alpha I am more concerned by the lack of Thumb output in wrestler though; it's been that way since the new core was first put in. It's very unlikely to be a coincidence.
  19. If the guy doesn't wanna release, then he doesn't wanna release. I can assure you work hasn't stopped, and he'll be kicking my ass into the far future. And DF is wrong to say that Hyper can run commercial ROMs, since it's quite obvious that none of us can right now. As for the leak issue, it's a matter of principle. If I were to develop behind closed doors, I wouldn't like it if someone gave my work out to the world before it was ready. So I can understand Firefly's concerns on this.
  20. I don't use VS since I can't afford it, so don't worry. But Microsoft give out the C++ compiler that ships with VS2k3 for free: Visual C++ 2003 Toolkit Windows Platform SDK NMake 1.5 It's all free! Have fun. Don't worry about that; I'm not exactly doing much right now, at 7am.
  21. MGS2 demo, eh. I was never informed of such an enterprise Looks good, though; I'm surprised. Don't wanna put you out or anything; getting those screenshots would be a bit of work, and if they don't work perfectly there's not much point in publicity shots
  22. I'll probably commit as often as I release working zips. Which is to say, not so very often. But the source will also be included in the zips, as ever, so you can compile it from there. Apologies for the lack of recent information, but this won't be SourceForge CVS. A commit should appear immediately. It's great to see multiple backgrounds finally up in at least one place. At least now I have a piece of GPU code that's verified good.
  23. Great news. It musta been something to do with the GPU code then; since I've replaced that, things have been going well. That shouldn't be happening, actually; runs fine here. Sure you switched back to GBA mode in the ini?
