  1. 2. KOF Special Edition 2004 is missing from the DAT file. The last verison i got had this game Why did you take it out? Yes I know its a hack but I personlly LOVE hacks it makes the orginal game a little more interesting after beatin the Shizint out of the orginal and looking for something new.

    3. my KOF 2002 Plus (set 1) rom doesnt work now it says i need kf2k2_c1.rom i have 2k2_c1.rom so i need a ips patch for it if some1 has it i would appricate it.

My understanding is that kof2k4se is just a ROM hack and not an actual bootleg set. FBA-XXX Pro does not support hacked sets since there are far too many to keep up with.

kf2k2pls now uses the C ROMs from the bootleg set. This is more correct since it is also a bootleg set.

For those who are wondering, there is going to be an updated build soon incorporating all the new ROMs that have surfaced recently (alot of new M ROMs and of course the new mslug5 C ROMs). But I also want to address the problem of the reversed buttons in the controller config and it's this that I haven't had the time to look into as yet.

  2. i think also that right now would be a cool time to get a perfect.dat for Pro that we can spread around...

It wouldn't be a perfect DAT since so many sets still don't work correctly and are using temporary substitute ROMs. As individual issues are fixed the DAT will be changed to require the correct ROMs. The 'perfect' DAT (if there can even be such a thing) will be substantially different to the current one and the changes will not come all at once.

I think you really need to see past these ideas you have of 'perfect' this and 'final' that and just enjoy what's available. :devilboy:

  3. hello !

can you say me if the problems ( resize menu screen , music in menu..) in last pro-relesase will soon solve? since a lot of days there are no news about these....  :)

    thanks !

I haven't got round to looking at these yet. I don't really want to do an updated build just for a few minor UI issues. I'll see about them when I do the next update but I really don't have any idea when that will be.

  4. The ClrMamePro dat file has never worked for me.

Not only is it 1/3 the size of the Romcenter DAT but doing a scan with the dat results in CMPro reporting all of my roms are wrong when infact they are not since Romcenter reports them as fine although I always use and prefer CMPro over RC.

I want to create a missing fix file dat with CMPro but can't because of this dat problem.

Try the DAT file that the emu generates and see if that works.

  5. Why can't great arcade shooters like Raiden II, or Raiden JET, Raiden Fighters, Brave Blade, Espuglade work on Final Burn???? Anyone working on them or will try too??? These are must haves...

These games do not run on M68000 hardware. FBA is an M68000 emulator. What your asking is like requesting PSX support in SNES9x, it simply isn't designed to emulate the hardware.

  6. The errors/bugs I speak of are...

Graphical glitches are basically in all the new challenger's stages (Cammy, Dee-Jay, Fie-Long, T. Hawk) and some show up elsewhere too. Almost every stage has minor graphical bugs or wierd screen glitching and off timing. The musical also gets distorted. Most of the grphical glitches are where the stage floor meets the horizon and the background starts. There is like clipping and crap going on, Nasty.

    Thanks

Is this just in FBA-XXX or is it in PC FBA also?

  7. CPS2 games do not support region switching within the game since seperate boards were released for each region. So the only way to play a japanese version is to use the Japan ROMset.

Neo-Geo games however, do allow region switching via the dipswitches. Perhaps this is what you remember.

  8. As I said before, there is a small problem with 2xscale that will be fixed in the next update.

I'll look into the problem with ROMs not starting.

sammaz - Your mp3 idea is a good one. But Pro really isn't about adding new flashy features and such. Perhaps you should suggest it on the FBA-XXX forums.

  9. I'm glad to hear the sound problem's finally sorted.

The 'flou' (blurring) problem with 2xscale was a small oversight on my part, sorry. It will be fixed in the next update.

I'll take a look at the menu music problem too.

  10. UPDATE:

    - Fixed menu problems with some filters.

    - Re-added Auto Uni-bios option.

    - Some updates to samsh5sd/ss5spnd.

It also seems that with the new menu code (in both Pro and FBA-XXX), menu items that should be disabled (like the '---------' dividers) can still be highlighted and selected. This is the cause of the crash with 'Set Other Values' in Video Options. Hopefully Gogo can fix this since I'm sure he'd make a much better job of it than I would. :punk:

bilippe - I can't fix your sound problem because I don't have it and therefore I have no way of finding the cause. And I don't see any reason why Pro is giving you problems and FBA-XXX isn't since 90% of the code in Pro is now identical to FBA-XXX.

The only two reports of this problem I've seen are yours and one on Gogo's forum describing exactly the same thing in the non-Pro version. So I'm at a complete loss... :punk:

Give this build a try anyway though, just in case.

  11. There do seem to be a few problems with this (Pro) build. I probably made some errors when merging in the updated code. I'll release another update soon with the necessary fixes.

bilippe - As Gogo said, all Pro's data is stored in E:\TDATA\ffff0504.

  12. UPDATE:

    - Merged in some very nice code improvements from the latest FBA-XXX. (excellent work Gogo :) )

    - Updated patch to work with fbaxxx_01_05.

    That's all for now.

bilippe - Try this version and see if it helps with your sound problems.

  13. i have sometimes sound glitchs ( sautes de son in french) nearly the totality of games  :)

    my config : cheats off

    uni bios on

    video : 2xscale , linear , flicker 5 progressive and widescreen off

    sound : low pass OFF , interpolation PCM/FM ON , 48000Hz , fastforward enable/disable ( no consequences..)

If I remember correctly 'saute' would indicate a jumping or skipping of the sound. I definitely haven't noticed that with any of the settings I've tried.

    Can you please tell me if it makes a difference if you use the following settings;

    Video: Simple2x, Linear

Sound: Low Pass OFF, FM Interpolation OFF, 22050Hz

And it would really be a big help if you could find a game where the problem is particularly bad.

  14. Hmm,

Well I've been running the androdun intro sequence over and over with all different filters and sound settings on both the latest and the previous build of FBA-XXX Pro. And I really can't hear a difference in any of the sounds.

Can you please tell me as much as you can about your video and sound settings? Also it would help if you could find some place in any game where the problem is particularly obvious.

If there is a problem here I'd like to fix it, but I need to be able to re-create it.

  15. +T+ is the latest pro intended to patch gogo's latest version?  or the older?

    The Patch

    ---------

The FBA-XXX Pro package now contains everything you need to get FBA-XXX Pro running on your Xbox, with the exception of the main XBE file. To get this you will need to apply the included IPS patch to the 'default.xbe' from the latest release of FBA-XXX (26.04.2005).

So basically you just copy the 'default.xbe' from fbaxxx_26_04.zip into your FBA-XXX Pro directory, and run 'patchme!!.bat'.

A little reading goes a long way. :P

  16. UPDATE:

    - Added Psikyo sound fix. (thanks to Gogo and Manto)

    - Fixed kf2k2pls/kf2k2pla driver error.

    - 'bShowFullRomNames' now shows full MAME-convention ROMset titles when enabled (toggled with Left Thumbstick button on the gamelist screen). Example;

    Enabled:

'Samurai Shodown V / Samurai Spirits Zero (set 1)'

    Disabled:

    'Samurai Shodown V'

    - Updated 'Pro Fighter' skin.
