BP I've seen that 480p vm.txt can be inproved. I think the values were made for another Mame. For example I can launch Outrunners with (values for vm.txt of course) 4 56 65535 instead of 4 48 65535 = less HDD access and no more glitches when the guy talks at road changing. But I need to know if the available Ram will stay the same from the last beta to the final Ignite (no more 35k ). If it's the case I enter an advanced rewriting the vm. We were talking about the best mame last time. You have the best one !!! Operation Wolf 3 (480p) launches in mameOX 128 only with a vm value, no vm with Ignite !! Better memory management !

A lot of roms are called added games because they must be clones, and haven't been placed in catver.ini (the file for sorting by genre). BP has used only one zipname by "family" and it helps to have a clean romset (really i never keep 10 clones for a game, only if it brings something like Darius Extra, Rainbow Island Extra, Darius Gaiden Extra, Simpsons 2 players for character choice...) You can find catver.ini in the folder "General" and easily edit it if you want to add all the clone. (if you do that just send it to BP, i think he'll be happy)

Was that about sound quality: Low (22700khz) or hight (44100) ? In the advanced settings ? It can't be changed ingame.

The secrets of the team: I used to feel asleep everytime BP and I were on msn (11 hours diff), when it was time to sleep BP often asked for one more second, or sometimes sent a build at 5am (France)= Impossible not test it !!! Yes I do BP, as it's a final beta it's better if fixed !! , people will enjoy it better and that is your wish !!! All the big work could be hidden behind the small bad details that people will only see ! MSN !! (I keep a MSN dialog opened all day waiting for you, just leave the files or a message) ... We should make a thread for games. You can remap your games the way you want For example, if you want to have LEFT TRIGGER as Lpunch+Mpunch+Hpunch RIGHT TRIGGER as Lkick+Mkick+Hkick then remap this way: J1 BUTTON 1 - J1 X or J1 L-trigger J1 BUTTON 2 - J1 A or J1 L-trigger J1 BUTTON 3 - J1 white or J1 L-trigger J1 BUTTON 4 - J1 Y or J1 R-trigger J1 BUTTON 5 - J1 B or J1 R-trigger J1 BUTTON 6 - J1 Black or J1 R-trigger (this is just an example, choose your keys yourself !) This way triggers will press 3 buttons at the same time !

Many thanks, please consider the browse to rom folder option - I think this could be useful, maybe same for screenshots/artwork? BP is doing that not me ! but now we can change all the directories except for cfg & nvram !

Qwerty options is not necessary according to me, you won't change your directories that often don't you think ? The screenshot folder can be set in the paths menu now, same for titleshots, artwork, and removed games ! For the shortcuts enable the "Remap default controller" option (called differently in last beta) in the advanced settings page. To get the CPU overclock functions: press BACK and Right Thumb Button ingame. To set the neogeo games, launch your game, "remap this game", choose keys tor "test switch" and remap it to be able to enter the menu (freeplay, difficulty), same thing for CPS2 remap the service mode.

There are some x,y not calculated yet, do you want to finish them even if you can't see the result ? Or must I do ? BP i saw nothing to define the screen area for the launcher in mameox.ini or skin.ini, and get exatcly what darknior gets (1/4 window), are the values defined in default.xbe ? What kind of help do you need ?

I 've tested megatech both on coinops & mame84 and I have the same issues for the same games. Mame84 compatibility list has allowed me to bring all my configurated games here. Except the for the known vasara2, SF, raidenF2000, CrystalGames, what are the other modified or added drivers, from which mame version ? Do you have some source names ? I maybe have missed a lot of good games ...

all the megatech games are marked as non working in mame 0.84 (even if some roms can be launched, there will be issues). 3 megaplay roms work 100% fine (same source segac2.c): mp_gaxe2, mp_sonic, mp_twc. For the rest NeoGenesis is the answer , seriously I really prefer using mame for original arcade games. Darknior my friend, can you show BP your work on the 720p skin ? It's time to shine !! . PS: if you don't have time I can have a look at your skin.ini. Darknior mon ami, peux-tu montrer ton taf sur le skin 720p a BP? C'est le moment de briller !! It was just a little present for you (to test) because you talked about it earlier in the topic. (The cfg won't be released before beta 7). Some have been removed because non working or graphics issues. 47 of them are OK.

CoinOps ignite Beta 6 released pm hellsfury, fumanchu or me for link ! Help needed for listing correctly games names, years, manufacturers. Check games with extra info overlay for that ! Check games too slow (very slow) with sound to turn it off by default. Check games marked with no sound but that could work fine with sound in fact and analog sensitivities (i'll check myself but suggestions are welcome). Report all suggestions in ==CoinOps Ignite== thread ! Please no more questions about lightgun, 720p, and roms (no more answer given)! It's time to work all together !

You're just right Hellsfury, I do agree. But another solution could be a detailed "HowToUse.txt" in every beta, as I suppose it will be contained in final release. Reading all this I'm sure BP will decide something easy for everyone ! That's why we wait for reactions in this topic from you friends who pm us for betas !!!
