  1. im presuming that after 4 years the only things worth saving from original HDD are game saves. Most of the Homebrew stuff will be well out of date (besides any roms you may have for emulators) . If it were me. I would install chip, save any stuff i wanted to PC via FTP. Then download an all in one installer like Auto Installer Deluxe. Install new HDD and use AID to set it up. Re-Install some form of Dashboard (XBMC is proving very popular and quite rich in its features). There are a few dashboards you could use any many configs. Its all down to personal choice.

  2. how easy it would be to use a USB -> xbox converter to use my arcade sticks

Very easy, just plug it in and see if it works !

Rather than risk buying a converter that may not work for a particular joystick (although it could be used for other joysticks, keyboard or mouse etc) just make one. Plenty of tutorials around, somewhere.

  3. Streamlining the settings like that is a bonus. All the options are there but under the relevant heading. It would seem to streamline the whole operation without comprimising what filters / settings are available. A much better UI. Modern yet feature packed.

  4. CBAGY_Singularity

Dynamic skin for MednafenX NES Madmab Edition.

Well here we go guys. A sort of a pre release.

Im looking for things ive missed, stuff not implimented correctly.

As far as design goes im not that bothered yet.

So do me a favour and give it a whirl and see if ive missed something

as its been over 4 weeks since i looked at it properly.

I built this using a large HDTV so some of the fonts for different TV's may be too small or too large so let me know silly things like that.

True HD isnt supported properly in Xport emulators. So some graphics may look a little grainy after being resampled by the xbe.

Features ... No Mario/Luigi. No Yoshi. No fucking twinkly Japanese style tunes composed on a handheld Casio keyboard. No talent or forethought was used or harmed during the making of this skin.

  5. As far as 576i @ 50 hz is concerned ... i dont know. Never tried it !

If you have a modded xbox why run it @ 50hz anyway ?

Is it a limitation of your TV set ?

The configs are in the emulator in-game options menu (may have to "now" be enabled).

Can't remember off hand but i think its part of analogue controls or something.

Will "Maybe" have a look later for you properly.

  6. A couple of things to remember with lightguns. Calibrating onscreen, when you calibrate corners and then the centre your arms must stay centre and only your wrist moves the gun so all calibrations come from a fixed point/angle.

After calibration you must sit or stand in exactly the same position for your calibration to be accurate.

CoinOps comes with premade configs. Most of these need altering for lightgun games. The easiest way to make a start with the configs is to look at the X, Y sensitivities. Most are way to low. I try them @ 100% and work backwards till the game feels confortable. Playing in widescreen is a no no. Set TV and CoinOps for 4:3 res for lightgun games it works best and accurate this way.

Some games require shooting off screen for re-load. If using a LED style gun then that cant't be done. So set cheats to unlimited ammo or auto re-load.

  7. So, if i read it correctly. You are (for now) adding emulator cores

into CoinOps one at a time. Will you release each +1 core build for

feature requests and suggestions or move on to the next one to till finished ?
