  4. Game: Guilty Gear XX #Reload (JP version) System: PSP Emulators: None Any gamers that love fighting games would have heard of or play Guilty Gear series before. For those that has been living under the rocks for the past few years, Guilty Gear is basically a fighting game ala Street Fighters or KOF, set in the distant future with diverse (or whacky) characters and interesting storyline. This PSP version is a 100% port from the PS2 version (and it is the same as the PC version too). Every secret characters, galleries, unlocked movies, missions and stories are the same. Saying this, some people might not want to purchase this game since they own the PS2 version but read on and judge by yourself. Graphics: Anyone who has played Guilty Gear games will definetly agreed that GG features high-res character design with very detailed and beatiful overall design. So, how does the PSP version fares? I am happy to report that the PSP version still give us the same high-res graphics on the PSP screen. All the background details are there, every animations and movements can be made out clearly. Nothing is left out. For those that are very particular, yes, you will notice jagged edges on the graphics but it can be ignored on a portable screen. The good news is Sammy decided not to follow Capcom's way of porting Darkstalker (or Vampire Saviour) to PSP. We get a true widescreen fighting ground instead of the widened backgrounds and characters which is featured (really ugly) in Darkstalker. A real eye-candy. Graphics: 9.5/10 Controls: I hate using D-Pad to play fighting games. That is why I amunable to enjoy Darkstalker very much. Thankfully, Sammy see the needs for the analog control to be enabled. It is a blessing. All moves execute flawlessly without any problems. Controls are responsive. Layout of the buttons are just at the right place (and if you don't like it, you can re-map it). Controls: 10/10 Sound: All the music, voiceovers, sound effects are perfectly ported from PS2 to this PSP version. You can still listen to each individual soundeffects and bgm at the option menu. And the J-rock bgm is well...rocking The music is really loud on PSP speakers and even better with headphones. Can't find any faults here. Sound: 9.5/10 Gameplay: As I mention, this is a 100% port from PS2, so everything is intact. you have few modes to play with, which is Story mode, Survival, MOM, Training and Mission mode. All the fight mode (Roman Cancel, dust loop, Perfect Defend, Instant Kill) are in. Gameplay is fast and furious with no slowdown at all. A lot can happened on the screen and you will not see a slowdown in framerate. And the loading time is really short, maximum 5 seconds for each match. The Japanese in the game won't hamper you in the gameplay since all the menus are in English! You will only face difficulties understanding the story, which is very minor to me. The only complaint you can have in this department is the lack of original materials. Since this is a port of PS2, all the unlocked galleries, secret characters, missions are the same. If you have played the PS2 version (or the PC version) to death, you will not find anything new here. Gameplay: 10/10 Overall: Sammy has set a standard on how a port should be. Nothing has been taken out from this sweet PSP game. This is the best fighting game for PSP to date. The lack of new contents might put off some people who have own the game on the console but the idea of having a Guilty Gear game on your hand is too much to pass. Recommended for you to import. Graphics: 9.5/10 Control: 10/10 SOund: 9.5/10 Gameplay: 10/10 Overall Grade: 9.75/10
  5. Hmmm...hard to tell. Neo Geo games has been really popular at my country and Singapore. You can expect seeing a KOF machine (no matter which year) in every arcade here. Atomiswave kinda slowing it down though (must be the price of the board)
  6. My impression of TNA is TNA has a lot of high flying moves and high risk moves BUT no wrestling moves. Go figure
  7. No, you have to extract the file into the "Photo" folder on your PSP. Example: In the Zip file, you will have 001.jpg as page one, 002.jpg as page 2 and so on. Extract and put the files in the photo folder in your PSP. Go to PSP menu, choose view photo from memory stick and you are in!
  8. that sucks. I also encountered sellers who changed their shipping details after I managed to bid it at very low price. Of cos, i refuse to pay, and the seller didn't dare to charge me since I have proof of his shipping details changed

  25. They caused Nintendo's downfall becos they opt for catridge based instead of CD based to get more money. This alienated a lot of developers and they jump ship to Sony.
