  2. EDIT: If you listen to Markman's podcast at SDTekken, he mentioned that the netcode is better than SCIV and T5DR. Hopefully what he says is true.

They aren't considering the load of users that will be playing. Which is what Capcom didn't really for see either. I took my statement out of context when I said "the exact same", apparently it's similar to TDR's netcode is what he really did say (he corrected himself on irc) at the time I posted it. I really do hope the online is better, considering TDR and SC4's are trash in comparison to SF4 and BB.

  4. This year's Nobel Peace Prize has been awarded to the American President, Barack Obama.

The Norwegian-based Nobel committee said he had made extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation.

The committee chairman, Thorbjoern Jagland, said they had attached special importance to Mr Obama's vision of a world without nuclear weapons.

The head of the International Atomic Energy Authority, Mohamed ElBaradei, told World Update's Dan Damon why he supports the decision.

There are, however, plenty of critics of the Nobel Peace Prize committee.

One of them is Jan Oberg, executive director of Transnational Foundation for Peace and Future Research in Sweden.

  5. What has come to be known as the NASA Moon bombing is scheduled to take place in the early morning hours on Friday, October 9th, 2009. The idea is to impact a projectile into one of the permanently shadowed craters of the lunar South Pole to eject a stream of dust and other material which will hopefully include water vapor.

The NASA Moon bombing will be accomplished by the Lunar Crater Observation Sensing Satellite or LCROSS for short, now currently flying with a Centaur rocket stage. LCROSS was launched earlier this year along with the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter, now orbiting the Moon.

Late tonight the Centaur and the LCROSS will separate, At about 7:30 AM Eastern Time, the Centaur will plow into the Cabeus Crater at a steep angle, kicking up a pillar of dust and other material. This event and the subsequent plume will be observed by nine scientific instruments on board the LCROSS before it too crashes into Cabeus.

Astronomers, both professional and amateur, will be able to observe the plume created by the crashes with Earth based telescopes. The Hubble telescope and other space based observatories will also attempt to observe the NASA Moon bombing. The NASA Channel will begin a live broadcast of the NASA Moon bombing at 6:30 AM Eastern time on Friday. Various cable news networks will break in closer to the NASA Moon bombing time.

Scientists have suspected for a long time that permanently shadowed craters at the lunar poles contain ice, deposited over billions of years of comet strikes. Results from remote sensing and previous space probe crashes, such as Japan's Kaguya probe, Europe's Smart-1 and NASA's Lunar Prospector, have proven tantalizing but inconclusive.

Excitement about water on the Moon spiked a few weeks ago when it was confirmed that the Indian Lunar probe, the Chandrayaan-1 detected water molecules in lunar topsoil. The existence of water on the Moon would help to facilitate future lunar settlers, who would mine the water rather than have to transport it from Earth.

  7. Turtling can't be helped as advanced gameplay always generally leans towards it.

Which seems like the complete opposite for games like Guilty Gear, Melty Blood, BlazBlue (unless you use Nu, or your char has a bad match up VS Nu, or you use Tager amirite.gif) or any of the recent KOF games at intermediate to high level play. Granted, the keep-away play style didn't really come apparent in SF4 until it came out on console. Now when SSF4 comes out, everyone will figure out the tools to defeat the once "exclusive" console characters (so random fyi if I end up playing someone here, choose any console character and your probably gonna roll me because I don't know shit about them).

  8. I hope the game does NOT play like SF4, because now SF4 gameplay is as stale as bread.

    I like it

Then again, I play it on PS3 ;)

And I play at an arcade, same old shit. It's awesome how it went from hyped as hell with being very rush down oriented to being one of the most defensive Capcom fighters EVER. That's how much it's changed in a whole year since it was released. Unless you first played it on console, then it's been a few months.

  10. Did you buy the HDMI cable for the PS3 and the remote too? I think that's another 100 bucks or so. I used to run a shit load of media on my PS3 like cd data, dvd, dvd data, blue ray and games then it broke. Happened in less than a year, sent it to sony and got it back. Now the only I thing I do is play games.

Funny thing about this. The PS3 i previously had broke because all I did was played Disgaea 3 on it and the drive broke. We (meaning me and my cousin) had to RMA it before it broke and Sony doesn't cover acts of god.

  11. Anyone who knows me personally will tell you I love to whore on high tier characters nearly all the time. Which means! Any high tier character in any fighting game any of you have played, I main. With a few exceptions;

    SF4: Chun-Li

    VF: Aoi

    CVS2: Chun/Hibiki/N-Morrigan/K-Cammy

MAHVAL: Ruby/Psylocke/Sentinel (which is sort of high tier, but not alot of people use this combo).

    GGX+: Dizzy

    GGXX-Slash: Millia

    AC: Eddie

    KOF: Mai/Mature/Shermie

BlazBlue: v-13 (Homicidal sword summoning lolibot ftw)

    Tekken: Jun/Asuka

So what do I like about these characters? Chun is Chun, can't hate Chun. Aoi = love the name, love the outfit. MMS = They are all very busty. Ruby+Psyk = hot, Dizzy = hot, Millia = Hot, v-13 = Homicidal sword summoning lolibot, Tekken chars = both hot (also because I don't know anybody else)
