There are no special settings that make it work, apart from the Capcom Hack (which is semi-obvious to begin with). Enabling ZWrite and AlphaTest ZWrite fix graphics issues and sprite priorities though.
Well, to say it bluntly, I wouldn't get my hopes up... Is the 3 in 1 a single image with all three games, or are there three separate images? If all 3 are in one image, then the chance to get it working is slim.
I'll clear the air some more... 1. Second Impact doesn't work in Chankast. 2. Third Strike does work in Chankast. What program do you use to mount the image? 3. I didn't find any Third Strike torrents on the net. You're having bad luck.

Yes, yes it does. My image is an NRG image, but that doesn't mean anything. Just to clarify, you DID enable the Capcom Hack in Chankast before starting the emulation, didn't you? Tell me you did.
You can blame the Attack System implementation for the extra space. GameCop is working on overhauling the site design, but he works slowly. By the time 3.0 gets here, things should look better (at least from the prelimiary templates that I've seen).
I wouldn't be at all surprised if it really did have a max resolution of 640x480 and those black borders in fullscreen. I guess that the borders are all around the screen and not just st the top and bottom...
