The older I get, the less special Christmas feels. Sometimes I truly wish that I was a kid again. Regardless, Christmas is still a lot of fun.
Got a pajama, some aftershave, a Garfield comic of some sort, BlazBlue CS (sort of), and some chocolate. Haven't gotten anything specific from my mom yet, so I suppose she'll just give money.

Ass-sassies Creed?
Ass-assassin's Creed?
I got nothing.
-
I think the assassins creed guy would fit in well with MK though.
Neither Altaïr nor Ezio are supernatural enough for Mortal Kombat. Plus, ripping their opponents' spines or doing something overly violent per MK standards doesn't fit the characters either.
Kratos does fit that bill though. Like a glove.

Moar like "Hold My Wallet - PlayStation Network Holiday Sale". Scott Pilgrim The Game FTW

I'm going to hold off on these changes until we upgrade IPB. After checking our MySQL database, it seems to be riddled with errors. In fact, I am surprised the site is still running without any error pages.
We are resilient. We will survive.
Like cockroaches.

I'm of the mindset that if a developer bothers to create an exclusive character for one port of a given multiplatform game to begin with, they should do the same for all ports. Having said that, exclusive characters are marketing gimmicks at best and bound to piss of some section of the fanbase.
-
I was just wondering, how many games with platform-exclusive characters is there so far? Off the top of my head I can at least name Soul Calibur II (Heihachi/Spawn/Link) and Soul Calibur IV (Yoda/Darth Vader/Star Killer?). Any others?

We get lots of snow here. Constantly.

No, you don't have to download new games. Think about what you're asking for a moment - wouldn't it feel a bit stupid and backwards if different console emulators or different versions of the same emulator (that emulate the same console, for all intents and purposes) needed different ROMs to function?
We are not telling where to get ROMs. When in doubt, read the board rules.

You haven't got the latest DirectX redistributable package installed. Either go to Microsoft's site and download the DirectX updater, or download 3d3x9_42.dll file separately from a DLL archive and put it in VBA's folder.

Quote tags aren't working in PMs...at all.
I disabled BBcode for private messages after that spambot we had PM'ing users a few years back.
Put BBCode back in there. The PMs look like shit and are hard to read if the content has lots of quotes.

Sorry, you'll have to figure that one out yourself, I don't use 7-Zip. What I can say though that it really isn't rocket science. Read the documentation that comes with the program if you can't figure it out just by staring at the main program window.

From what I've hard, pretty good. Look for Dolphin SVN releases: http://www.dolphin-emulator.com/download.html

Weird. I've had no trouble, timeouts or otherwise.

Well, personally I like to have some control over what programs get access to my Internet connection. It's true though that anti-virus software is the one that's supposed to act as the gatekeeper, stopping unwanted registry modifications, malicious executables and the like - not the firewall.

Don't bother with the Arcade. This is a messageboard, not a place to come and play flash games.

We have an X-Box forum?
Regardless of whether or not you were being cheeky
---
Yes, but it seems old Xbox is only good for modding and emulators these days, and that's the only reason said subforum gets all the traffic it does. I rarely go there, so I honestly don't know half the shit and drama that goes on there.
-
shitcan the xbox forum. it's tardville.
I'm sorry, I just... lol'd so hard at that.
But yeah, Ideas On This Forum subforum is kinda useless. It's nice that people get to voice their opinion and ask for stuff to get implemented/changed, yet 99% of that never becomes a reality. Besides, this place isn't a bastion of democracy. Same with Weblinks Exchange. That subforum only attracts more and more spambots, and nothing even remotely interesting. if someone wants to share a link to a site and start some discussion pertaining to it, they can just use Current Affairs.
I'm a bit torn on the fate of the Online Gaming subforum. The posts there mainly deal with PC stuff, and most people go online on their consoles. If we had a stronger PC MMORPG/Counter Strike/What Have You community, perhaps the forum would be more useful. From what I've gathered, most people prefer to play online on their consoles, and that kind of talk can go to the subforum of the console in question.
The Radio Show was a nice effort, but let's face it, there's no need to keep that on the board anymore.
New groupings of the console sections might be a good idea since they would hopefully get more posts, as now most new gaming threads are shamelessly dumped in Current Affairs in order to get more exposure.

Good news, although I have to confess that it's been ages since I've been stoked about a new Mortal Kombat game. Kratos fits perfectly in a bloody game like MK, though.

- FAS is borked
- ACP password (I know, I'm a broken record)
There was something else as well, but I can't remember what it was.

Well...
- Combine the Arcade subforums into one.
- Combine the Sega subforums into one
- Combine the "General X" subforums into one
- Same with Nintendo stuff and perhaps Playstation (with the exception of the Wii and the PS3)
- Put Wii, PS3 and X360 under "Next Generation Consoles" or something like that - or rather, "Current Generation"
- Does anyone truly care about MUGEN?

This whole turmoil surrounding Assange has reached astoundingly ridiculous levels regardless of what one actually thinks of the guy. I'm begininng to think that these girls spotted Assange at some party, realized who he was, and decided to get their 15 minutes of fame one way or another.
-
Vanquish. I'm close to the end, but it's been good times.
Did you lol at the ending credits?
Yes, very much. Damn, that was awesome. A bit of a throwback to old(er)-school gaming. I think that it was a great detail to actually see the faces of the developers.

I sorta kinda figured you'd run into this since the archive is 7-zipped. Both WinZip and WinRAR can work with 7-Zip archives, or if you're feeling adventurous, download and install the official 7-Zip Archiver (Google it).
Tekken Tag Tournament 2

A part of it might get attributed to the fact that Tekken has always been a PlayStation brand prior to Tekken 6. Same goes for lots of games before the X360 and PS3 were released.
