if you're getting "this rom is for use with original snk boards only" warning, try setting kawaks to emulate 'arcade' hardware. Menu: Games > NeoGeo Settings > Arcade (instead of Console) (i'm using k-loader 1.46 btw) @Cominus: "so be happy and stop asking" huh? i checked that link and the site didn't have the solution to Boomba's problem. i think one of the reasons why people use this forum is to troubleshoot emulation issues (no matter how newbie-ish the questions may be). so you've never asked questions before? if you don't have the solution, just don't post. you're just being a prick when you say things like "stop asking". imho, matrimelee isn't that good. heh~ =)

ah, i see now~ both sitwulf and k-loader works (kawaks). i haven't tried with regular kawaks since i use loaders exclusively. k-loader can be had at epic-center (same goes for the rom... in rar pieces though). make sure your rom and the info in the dat file matches. i can't remember well but i think i had to edit some crc numbers. the rom names should be the same as those in the dat. not much else, i don't think. (hollar if i missed something!) it is a pain to have the rom work flawlessly with all the emulators... so i suggest you go with whatever works. but... ssv DOES work with loaders. good luck to ya~

@tidus: why not? skills lacking? or can't get it to work? can't find the rom? don't take offense, i'm just curious. @nezumi: huhuhu, maybe they're tired of gaijin poking fun at all the engrish (hence no translations). yeah, A+B takes getting used to. i know, what the hell is up with sankuro and his weirdo friends? i don't get it. it's a pretty game. i sorta miss the slash/bust mode though. i also use genjuro often. i just love it when the cards show up~ hmm, i kinda like the big red demon thing... reminiscent of 'earthquake'. i miss that fat bastard~ when i first fired up ssv in kawaks, i overcame with the same feeling i had when i first saw samurai shodown in the arcades. "holy sh*t, look at the sword fighting game!" that was the best way to blow away 20 bucks~ okay, i'm getting off topic... a wonderful christmas present, that ssv. kudos to the release team. mou, hontoni ureshiiyo~ domo~~~~

crouching tiger hidden dragon 2003. i think it's a kof2k1 hack by some company called phenixsoft (correct me if i'm wrong). it has nuthin' to do with the movie. but i heard that there'll be a game based on the movie. dunno which console tho. cthd2003 is for neogeo~

agreed... not much of a game, that matrimelee. i know it works in svckawaks and k-loader 1.5. it also depends on how the files are named in the zip. from time to time, roms for nrx might not play on kawaks (and vice versa... different p1/2 roms). try auditing your roms to find out what's wrong with the rom (you can also do that by looking at the dat file). there's actually loads of info in the forums... look at how people get games to work with their emulator. usually, it's "append/edit dat file", "rename files in zip", "try another emulator", or "dl rom again (wrong crc)". (i'm sure there are other ways... i'm no expert so no yelling~) bah, i think i'm just rambling on about things that people already know...

yeah, i saw one on ebay for 425 US. *drool* i agree with N3oGhost; when it's released, _everybody_ will know about it. it will be available via net/p2p/ftp/irc/dc/etc. i'm tired of searching for it. i'm tired of google and babelfish translating spanish/italian. this forum looks busy enough; i'll just drop by once a week (and a couple of other sites i've bookmarked). oh, what am i talking about. i know i'm going to be looking for it 'til i find it. does anybody know how to read chinese? the chinese emu-scene is also strong, i heard... *sigh*

differences besides graphics and gameplay? nah, not much else, i think~ characters come and go. animation improves... but i guess that falls into "graphics". oh, i know. the rom sizes increase with each succession (except SSV... not released yet so i don't know... some spanish/italian sites say around 40MB... so i guess i'm right). but i don't think that's what you're looking for, as far as "differences" go. hehehe~ i think it would be very taxing to answer in detail. graphics and gameplay matter most to a gamer anyway. other differences are pretty much transparent (to me at least). dammit, hurry up and dump SSV! (sorry to wake old posts but i was scavenging for SSV info... and couldn't help myself. my apologies~)
