  2. Hey everyone,

     

    OK here is the deal.  I have been trying to get MS5 and SVC + working on the kawa-x Se that is out.  Now I have renamed the files within the roms according to the directions to a T.  What happens is when I load either MS5 or SVC + it freezes at "Loading 268_v4.rom"  It freezes on that exact same file for both games.  However Sam Sho 5 loads no problem including its v4.rom file. 

     

    I then went into the IRC room on efnet and this one guy tried helping me out.  He had it working on his xbox and he sent me everything he has on his (All the roms, neogeo.bios, default.xbe, everything.)  And when I replace my old ones with his ones that he sent me, it does the same damn thing, freezes on the exact same file, for both games.  It just doesnt make any sense that I tried every single file that he uses to play these 2 games and put it on my xbox and it just freezes. 

     

    Has this happened to anyone else, or does anyone know what im doing wrong or what is wrong?  Im really at a loss here.

    I can't help you because Kawa-X SE isn't updapted for mslug5nd : I haven't updated it.

  3. Well after hours of searching for the rom, the most I have come up with is in a different forum they mentioned it was out on emule...... could be fake though, anyways the only other thing I found is this site which claims to have the kof2003 rom http://www.babeijiu.com/soft/709.htm

    Can anyone verify this ? I cannot read the Chinese text very well  :blink:

  5. So, about the changes, on the 1st default.xbe (called Kawa-X 0.11) you can notice :

     

    - mslug5nd instead of kof2k1nd ;

     

    - kof99nd instead of garoup (prototype) ;

     

    - kof2k1nd (now called kof2k1n because it is only predecrypted, but not fully decrypted) instead of kof99nd ;

     

    - cthd2k3 (use Neorage X version because it is fully decrypted) instead of kof99p (prototype).

     

    Finally, the only removed games around the 2 default.xbe are just the prototypes : kof99p & garoup. But garoun & kof99nd (the decrypted romsets) are fully playable.

     

    On the 2nd default.xbe (called Kawa-Hex 0.11) you can notice :

     

    - pim instead of kof98 ;

     

    - kof2k2nd instead of kof2k1nd ;

     

    - rotdn instead of s1945pn ;

     

    - svcbl (bootleg) & svcplus instead of kof99p & kof99nd ;

     

    - mslug4n instead of rbff2 ;

     

    - samsho5 instead of garoup (prototype).

     

    Finally, kof98, kof2k1n, s1945pn, kof99nd & rbff2 are fully playable on the 1st default.xbe.

  6. We'll i got a lil package off of NG called New Kawa-X SE Default.xbe + Mslug5 Rom. When i installed the new default.xbe overwriting my old one the menu changed to Kawa-X for Newer Games in my xbox menu. But the SVC wont work. So i just took the new default.xbe added in the neogeozip, the mslug rom and the rest of the emulator files from the kawa x se folder. Made a new folder called Kawa X SE 2. Copied dat baby over and now i have to kawa x options in my menu. Kawa X SE and Kawa X SE for Newer Games. The first one is for all the Old goodies ie Sam Sho 5, SVC Chaos, Cthd 03 and whatever. And the Kawa X SE for Newer Games is what i use to Play Mslug 5. Let metal slug sit in his on little special program where no one bothers him since he wants to act nutty when everyone else *SVC Chaos Roms* are around. I can email the new default.xbe i got and peeps can use it like i did.  :rolleyes:

    Default.xbe to play mslug5nd isn't mine, because I've not updated Kawa-X SE (SE means Second Edition).

    How can I call hex edited Kawa-X SE with 2 default.xbe + mslug5n support ?

  10. I'm prefectly fine running an extra copy of KawaX as long as I can play MSlug5 and have the RotD problem cleared up.    I'll just give the default.xbe another name.  Whatever it takes to have all the game running 100%.  Thanks!

    All I have is the original, the plus version that was posted on suprnova, and now a build for samsho5. Now I'm going to have 4, for mslug5. Then there's going to be one for kof2003. Thats 5 total. And I still havent gotten the 8meg p1 that allows ROTD to run arcade and console modes. God what a mess.

     

    EDIT: I realize now that my samsho5 build can run the ROTD I mentioned, so that takes out one. <_<

    All we are looking for is a mean to reduce Kawa-X default.xbe numbers on our X-Box. For the moment, we need 2 default.xbe to play all the games perfectly.

     

    But when KoF 2k3 will be out I've no alternative to keep it with original roms names.

    About V-Liner I know it's possible. But about Jockey GP, it's difficult, because it uses V-Liner M1 rom + M1 rom in his own romset.

    About kof 2003, I don't know because there won't be games to remove.
