  1. All these delays are making everyone crazy, but there is not much we can do. Currently were experiencing a major problem fixing bugs with Chankast Utilities while beta testing since the offsets are different when Kryso check's the bug since he is using a Chinese version of Windows XP and we are using the original english version of Windows XP. Were waiting at the moment for Kryso to buy the original Windows XP so we can finish the chankast utilities for v0.25. If a new version of Chanka is released earlier than we release Chankast Utilities, then we will work on the latest version instead. First things first is to fix the current bugs. We will have more information soon on this matter and we hope to get a new version of Chankast Utilities released. Sorry for the delay once again.
  2. hairy.. This thread will close in 2 days. This thread is a complete spamming zone and will not be tolerated. I can't believe I didn't notice this thread for so long. If you have any problems with my decision, please PM me.
  3. Don't worry, if you miss it we will have downloads available to listen to the show. I hope you have a wonderful Birthday, have a good one.
  4. Dammit, made a mistake.. Sunday is on July 25th. Sorry for any inconveniences I may have caused. PS: All dates in my posts have been fixed to the 25th.
  5. The BroadCast has been DELAYED to next Sunday which is July 25th, 2004. We are also hoping to interview the author of Saturnin, Runik, with his views on Cassini. Keep checking back for more information and sorry for the delay.
  6. This movie was completely different than the Matrix. I can't see how you can compare it with that movie.
  7. It doesn't matter to me. Happy Birthday Fatal Rose and don't drink too much, it's not good for your health.
  8. I just came back from the movies and "I, Robot" was a great movie. The CGI effects were amazing and it was like a mystery book, always solving puzzles. It was really good and I recommend everyone to see it. One of my favorite scenes was in the car scene when the two trucks of robots baracading him (highlight and copy into notepad to see the spoiler). So has anyone seen the movie yet?
  9. Well the 24hrs is up and the Cassini Forum is now deleted. The staff and I have no regrets since this emulator really could have effected us very bad if we continued to support it. Expect us to review emulation programmers and their emulator a lot more before we support them in the future. The mirror links from 1Emulation have also been deleted (including the ones from GryphonKlaw). Once again, we will say it again.. We DO NOT SUPPORT the Cassini Emulator anymore. We preserved only one thread which the link is below that was made by Keith of EmuFanatics here on the forums that is now to 7 pages on the illegality of the emulator. Go to the continuing discussion to the ILLEGALITY of the Cassini Emulator (preserved from the Cassini Forums before deletion of forum)... »» Click Here «« - 1Emulation Staff
  10. 1Emulation InterActive is a registered company if anything does happen which I could get sued. I am not going to risk my entire site for just some emulator, no matter how good it can be in the future. It doesn't seem that anyone cares about us and that how this emulator will effect 1Emulation. That's the one reason why I had no choice but to ditch the project. I am trying to make 1Emulation as legal as possible. A lot of changes will be taken soon and this emulator was a extreme legal risk for all of us and I know many have you been saying we have had other stuff that could be questionable, but this emulator was far different than anything we've ever had. Every programmer I have talked to as of now have disregarded this emulator. Because I know every programmer know's the term "Script Kiddie" and it's the one thing programmers just don't allow. I've taken programming classes before and when someone tried to find code from somewhere else and implement it in their program, there was always an arguement. To hack someone else's code illegaly and rename it would have gotten you a punch in the face after class. Programming has it's code of honor, as just about anything does. The only reason why I accepeted this emulator in the first place was because of the email they sent to Sega which now when I read it, you can tell towards the end, Sega does not allow these kind of projects. I think it has finally come together for me now that the stress of this emulator has been pulled off my shoulders. Therefore, I can not spend my entire day constantly helping this emulator if I no longer support and even if Magnis (Co-Owner) does not support it. As well as many of my staff members, it's just not going to happen.
  11. When I first approached the Cassini Team, they stated to me their emulator was completely LEGAL. They gave me the email from Sega as evidence and I read the post on EmuFanatics that Keith is still working to find more information about it. No one besides Keith and others really cared at the time on what this email could lead up too. I think that once the Cassini Emulator was released, slowly in a matter of hours, people realized that there was something fishy about the emulator. I was very surprised since I believed in the Cassini Team and was helping them resolve these issues with people stating these claims on the emulator. EmuFanatics then made their "Warning" message which furthermore surprised me since Zophars posted the emulator and hosted a mirror as well which still as of now supports the emulator. I continued to help the team and tell them that they have to comment on these accusations, but I then noticed that everything they said was countered. Not one thing got through EmuFanatics (which is pretty damn good ) and I also was getting concerned that people might start thinking 1Emulation likes to help these kind of emulators which is not true at all. Then I started talking to people, a lot of people, including Keith which I am proud I did. It lead me to the conclusion that this emulator had severe problems. I then talked to more people, comparing what Keith said and what others said. I was really in a blackhole since people were saying it's legal and support it and others said no it's a bad idea and it can potentially hurt 1emulation. Then when I checked 1Emulation again, I noticed that people on EmuFanatics started calling us names. I then let it go when I talked to Keith since honestly 1Emulation has gone through a lot and all I am trying to do is make it as legal as possible. It's hard to make such a transition. Once I let that go, I read with Jiggs said, added it into the bank of thoughts on the emulator. I also then read what EmuFanatics had to say about what Jiggs said as well since he brought up some interesting points. Later I talked to Miskie and he stated that this emulator is purely ILLEGAL. I then got an instant message from IJTF_Cinder which most of you guys read and it stated that the emulator was a complete "obfuscated" program and also that he could not stay with a site that supports this. I then told him to post it in the Poll thread which I later made because I honestly had no idea what to do. Finally, after I posted the Poll, I had another conversation with Barnito. He stated that he's alright if we can't support the emulator and then he asked "What Poll?". By the time I knew it there was a ton of mass messages on Direct Connect. It was to over a 100 people which stated to basically "VOTE YES" on the poll, nothing much more. After I saw this, my decision was done and so was Magnis's. Shortly after the topics were deleted and now were here. To make a long story short, there is not much I can say. When I was presented this emulator, it was showed to me as legal and it looked as if everyone was welcoming it to release until it was actually released. It was my fault that I didn't research the emulator more before I supported it. However at the exact same I was supporting it, I was also researching it. It's a shame the poll was deleted in my opinion, but then again I'd probabaly would vote not to support this emulator in the long run. It's just too much to handle for an emulator, I just took my first break off the computer to think about how to make this post after 6 straight hours. (didn't even eat lunch today) I really wish that this never happened, but at the same time it allowed me to meet new people and even gave me a better understanding on how emulation works. Finally I have now recieved a last response from Barnito that he was not on his computer after I responded to his mass messages which may well be true or not be true. I've known Barnito for almost 2 years, I honestly don't think it was his fault since he did not code it, Snail did. I have no comment towards Snail since honestly I don't know what to say anymore towards him. I felt the comments toward IJTF_Cinder was not polite and turned me down even more. I have suspended people's accounts when they insult other admins or flame at all. There is not much more I can say which further made my conclusion and Magnis's. But I can only see and say so much, I am not a god you know. - GameCop
  12. It's great to see you here, I would have never thought it could be possible. Welcome to the 1Emulation Forums and I hope you enjoy your stay. PS: I will keep this thread and move it to the Current Affairs after this forum is deleted in 24hrs.
  13. Since the poll was ending up into a flame war and we noticed that Team Cassini was pulling votes from Direct Connect by mass messaging everyone to Vote YES and ignoring us while we were telling them to stop, the poll has been deleted. It was not my decision, it was Magnis's decision who is the Co-Owner. The mass message was sent to over a 100 people in Direct Connect, therefore the poll would have not been precise at all and we were monitoring all acitivities. If any emulation programmers are not going to aknowledge us as a website and that their emulator makes a big impact on our site, we have no choice but to break our word since I know I said I wouldn't delete that poll. But Magnis had his say on this and I agreed with him. Therefore, 1Emulation DOES NOT SUPPORT Cassini. Again we are sorry the poll had to be deleted, there were very good posts in there. If you would like to continue the discussion in our forum, you may in the current affairs. The Cassini Forums will be removed in 24hrs. Thank you for participating in the polls if you did. Further information will be said on the Radio Talk Show on Sunday, July 18th, 2004. Be sure to hear about it and the legalites of this emulator and what based this decision even more. I'm sorry it had to end this way for the Cassini Team. PS: If you have a specific post you'd like to keep in the Cassini Forums, PM me and we'll consider it if it seems legible. - 1Emulation Staff
  14. Here is what I have heard.. Gary Payton is leaving. Derek Fisher wants to go to the Portland Trailblazers. Kobe Bryant might go the Clippers. Karl Malone is gone. Rick Fox is staying. Devin George is staying. That's about all I have heard.
  15. We will not tolerate any site bashing. We respect EmuFanatics and they have their rights to say their views. I agree with iq_132 and that we can't say how to run their website. The only thing we are focusing about is running ours.
  16. Well after more than year, the 1Emulation staff have decided to close down GameShare. We found out it is the main reason that people can't link to us on many emulation sites because of it. At first we never wanted to do it, but we feel that we now have to. We don't want people to have a hesitation in posting the 1emulation link. 1Emulation has always been known to NEVER host any ILLEGAL material. I thank Magnis, Solidius23, GryphonKlaw, Prican25, and the others to base our decision. All I can say is, I hope these emulation sites will realize, we care a lot for everyone to accept us and I hope now they will. Most of all so people can link to us. Thank you. - 1Emulation.com Staff R.I.P. GameShare :: (January 26, 2003 - July 13, 2004)
  17. Geezus, I had no idea this would escalate to something like this, nor was I ever notified of any of this new information of tutorial being pulled from another site and no crediting. 1Emulation DOES NOT support illegal emulators. It also seems that the LEGAL page for the Cassini site has been updated by Barnito. It looks like I need to get in contact with them again. Again, 1Emulation will NOT support an illegal emulator. We will continue to support this project until further notice so we can get this cleared up.
  18. The following is from the Cassini Team: -------------------------------------------------------- We have been notifyed that an emulation website has issued a warning to other emulation websites about Cassini of it's "legal" stand in the emulation scene. First of all THIS IS a new project. The reason is because it is the first emulator to be released for the sega saturn that is open source. Now you may be asking, "So what's your point, it's just a modified giri-giri." True, but the code has been 40% rewritten and will increase substantially even more in following releases. As for the email that was sent to Sega. Snail (Programmar of Cassini) has told us, "It was actually sent to Sega Corp, which is international, and they sent it to Sega of America, who issued the vague statement, which is why I took it upon myself to make the needed legal changes to remove any doubt." We still do not understand why the email said it was from technical support, but it was never sent to the technical support when they sent the email and it most likely FORWARDED to them. It also seems that many people have NOT READ the legal page on the Cassini website which states the following. We respect the emulation site who issued the warning since they care about the emulation scene, but if you want the real facts on this issue, it is right above this sentence. Soon this emulator will be ported to the XBOX as well. Currently it's in early development, since this emulator is open source! So for the other emulation sites viewing this, please take it upon your self and realize this emulator is legit and is no longer GiriGiri. If people just read the included info, the legal statement, and didn't just ignore it all, they would already know what they need, in that this is not a part of Sega now, and has been given legal permission for ditribution under the stated terms. Thank you for your time. - The Cassini Team
  19. Many people have been sending me emails and messages about the release of Chankast Utilities. It is NOT dead, were still working on it for v0.25 and it will be released either today or tomorrow. We went through a bug and were almost done fixing it. Some new features will consist of AVI recording, you will be able to change the dreamcast cpu from CPU 1-65535 to increase speed performance and there will be multi-language, skinning support, and more! ~ Keep checking back for a release soon.
  20. Not that I know of. Sorry, but your official screwed.
  21. Unfortunatelly it seems that everyone is going to get the "invalid pin code" for now. Keep trying today and tomorrow and it should work.
  22. Keep trying, I heard about this on other forums. It could also be your browser settings. I can't really understand how people get that message at the moment.
